Lineage White Widow Regular Strain
White Widow Regular is a mostly sativa strain, 40% Indica / 60% Sativa, born from crossing an Indian indica with a Brazilian sativa. It carries a fruity, hashish, herbal and sweet flavor over a strong, mostly sativa high. Regular seeds are not feminized: they are the original seeds from nature, carrying both sexes, male and female.
With a High THC that reaches 18% to 24%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy, relaxed and uplifted experience with a good dose of energy.
Origin
White Widow is a legendary creation of Dutch seed banks, renowned for its powerful effects and robust genetics, which first gained global recognition by winning first place at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1995. It crosses two landraces, a Brazilian sativa and an Indian indica, for a balanced profile that offers both uplifting and calming effects.
White Widow has become a cornerstone of the cannabis community, serving as a parent to many popular strains like White Russian, White Rhino and Blue Widow. These descendants carry on the strong genetics and diverse effects that made White Widow famous. Its resilience and adaptability make White Widow Regular seeds a favorite among cultivators, for a reliable, rewarding harvest.
White Widow Regular Seeds Sativa or Indica?
White Widow Regular is renowned for its uplifting sativa effects, a popular choice for anyone seeking energy, creativity and a cerebral experience. It is primarily sativa, 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, blending Brazilian sativa with South Indian indica for a distinctive, balanced profile. Users often report a stimulating, euphoric sensation that lifts mood and focus, perfect for daytime use or social settings.
Its sativa dominance leads to an energetic, mind-centric experience, with a gradual onset of mental clarity and positivity that sparks creativity and conversation, while still offering mild body relaxation. It is ideal for boosting motivation, easing stress or enjoying a more active, uplifting high, a reliable option for busy days or moments that need inspiration.
White Widow Regular Effects
White Widow Regular is renowned for potent effects that capture the best of both worlds: an invigorating cerebral high alongside a soothing body relaxation. Users often report a burst of happiness, euphoria and creativity shortly after consumption, an excellent choice for artistic work or brainstorming.
Its ability to lift mood and stimulate the mind is matched by its capacity to ease stress and tension, for a well-rounded, uplifting experience. Many also turn to it for support with arthritis, pain and restless nights.
The initial sativa-driven rush gradually settles into a calming indica effect, a gentle descent into relaxation without overwhelming sedation, which keeps productivity and focus intact alongside a real sense of calm. Its balanced nature lets it be enjoyed at different times of day, offering relief and inspiration without couch-lock or excessive drowsiness. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Cannabis Seeds White Widow Regular
For optimal growth from the outset, it’s important to germinate White Widow Regular seeds with care.
Blimburn Seeds advises a specific, straightforward method for germination, cautioning against direct soil planting to avoid harming the delicate seeds, which can be easily compromised by bacteria from our hands.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 70-90ĀŗF in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 7. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.

How To Grow White Widow Regular Seeds?
White Widow Regular seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are moderately easy to grow and hardy, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
Indoors, use wide, vertical space and the ScrOG method for a uniform canopy and larger lower flowers. If you prefer to grow outdoors, our grow guide covers optimal cultivation anywhere in the world. Feed proper nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages of your regular seeds, and indoors set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter. Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a mid-October harvest, at about 19.4 to 21.16 oz per plant (550 to 600 g). Indoors, the flowering time runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.97 to 2.29 oz/ft² (600 to 700 g/m²).
Ideal Climate for Cultivating
White Widow Regular is a classic strain that thrives in warm, tropical-leaning climates, with warm summers and mild winters. The optimal temperature range is 70 to 85 ā (21 to 29 ā) for prime development and yield. It does best with good sun exposure and annual rainfall around 600 to 1000 mm, with excellent drainage to protect the plant.
In the United States, strong options include California, Nevada and Arizona for their warm climates, along with Oregon, Washington and Colorado for their warm summers and cooler winters. Floridaās humid subtropical climate can also work with careful humidity management, and Hawaiiās tropical climate suits it well thanks to year-round warmth. In these states, White Widow Regular reaches its full, sought-after potential.
What Does The Strain Smell Like?

White Widow Regular Terpenes
White Widow Regular has a distinctive terpene profile, and four terpenes do most of the work behind its fruity, hashy aroma and its happy, relaxed and uplifted effect.
Caryophyllene supplies the warm, peppery, hashy depth at the heart of the flavor. As the terpene best known for easing inflammation and discomfort at the receptor level, it anchors the strainās relief for arthritis and pain, grounding the cerebral high with a steady body comfort.
Alpha-Pinene brings a crisp, fresh pine note with a herbal edge, tied to alertness and mental clarity. It carries the uplifted, clear-headed side of the effect and adds a soothing, anti-inflammatory quality that supports the strainās use for joint discomfort.
Neryl Acetate is a less common terpene that lends a sweet, floral-fruity note, the clearest source of the fruity, sweet side of the flavor. Associated with a gentle, calming quality, it rounds out the aroma and supports the relaxed, restful end of the experience.
Isopulegol adds a cool, minty-herbal touch and is valued for soothing the nervous system and easing physical tension. It reinforces the strainās calming side and its reputation for helping toward restful sleep.
Completing the profile, Humulene adds an earthy, hoppy depth that reinforces the anti-inflammatory side, while Guaiol contributes a soft, woody-rosy note that supports the body comfort and rounds out the hashy, herbal character.

How To Grow White Widow Regular
Read NowRegular seeds are for growers who want the complete, authentic genetic experience, including the possibility of breeding their own new strains. Unlike feminized seeds, a pack of regular seeds will produce both male and female plants. This allows advanced cultivators to select a prized male for its structure and resilience and use its pollen to create unique crosses with their favorite female plants.
The name is a direct description of its most famous trait: its spectacular and excessive resin production. As the buds mature, they become so completely coated in a thick, frosty blanket of white trichomes that the entire plant can appear to be covered in snow. This incredible crystalline appearance is the signature of the White Widow lineage, making it one of the most visually stunning and resinous strains ever created.
Expect a classic Sativa-dominant hybrid structure. This is a medium-to-tall plant that will stretch significantly once flowering is initiated; it is not a compact plant. It grows with a beautiful, open structure and long, sturdy branches that may require some support due to the weight of its dense, resinous buds. This open structure is great for air circulation and mold resistance.
It’s easy to tell them apart once they start to show their pre-flowers. Female plants will develop small, teardrop-shaped bracts with two white pistils (hairs) emerging from them at the nodes. Male plants, on the other hand, will develop small, round pollen sacs that look like tiny bunches of grapes. It’s crucial to remove the males from your grow space as soon as you identify them to prevent pollination of your females (unless you are breeding).
