Lineage CBD Black Diesel Seeds
CBD Black Diesel (1:1) comes from crossing NYC Diesel with an undisclosed CBD line, producing a mostly Sativa strain (60% Sativa / 40% Indica). It tends to show a diesel and pine flavor with a bright, sativa-leaning high. It carries a balanced 1:1 ratio, with a Low CBD content of 6% – 8% and a similar low THC level, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a happy, energizing experience with little intensity.
Origin
CBD Black Diesel (1:1) originates from top-quality genetics sourced from reputable Dutch seed banks in Amsterdam. It combines the legendary NYC Diesel with an undisclosed CBD-rich strain, resulting in a balanced, high-CBD hybrid similar to CBD Candida and CBD Cafe Racer.
The genetics of CBD Black Diesel bring a distinctive experience, balancing potency with therapeutic effects. This cross of NYC Diesel and high-CBD genetics is highly regarded for its reliable growth patterns and rich cannabinoid profile.
CBD Black Diesel (1:1) Sativa or Indica?
CBD Black Diesel (1:1) leans to the Sativa side (60% Sativa / 40% Indica), offering an uplifting yet calming effect. This sativa-dominant blend of THC and CBD is built for a balanced experience with only mild psychoactivity, which makes it suitable for daytime use without overwhelming mental stimulation.
That genetic balance gives it a sativa plant structure, with longer leaves and slender stalks. CBD Black Diesel seeds are especially popular among cultivators seeking the energy and creativity typical of sativas, paired with the relaxing benefits of CBD.
CBD Black Diesel Effects
The effects of CBD Black Diesel (1:1) combine a happy, uplifted mood with a calming, relaxed body feel, thanks to its balanced 1:1 THC-to-CBD ratio. Users often report relaxation alongside mental clarity, which makes it an ideal strain for easing stress without intense psychoactivity.
CBD Black Diesel is also appreciated for its therapeutic potential, particularly for those managing arthritis, insomnia or pain. This mix of cannabinoids offers a moderate uplift with focused relaxation, ideal for supporting well-being in a gentle, balanced way.
Germinating CBD Black Diesel (1:1) seeds
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique. Before removing our CBD Black Diesel (1:1) seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three-month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
CBD Black Diesel Flowering Time
CBD Black Diesel seeds generally have a flowering period of around 8 to 10 weeks, typical for a sativa-dominant strain. Under optimal indoor conditions, growers can expect robust yields, with plants showcasing dense, resin-rich buds by harvest.
Outdoors, CBD Black Diesel (1:1) typically reaches maturity by early autumn. Its stable genetics and controlled flowering time make it an appealing choice for both novice and experienced growers seeking a balanced, high-CBD strain with manageable growth.
How to grow CBD Black Diesel (1:1) strain?
CBD Black Diesel (1:1) can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are robust and moderately easy to grow, we should always prevent any pests.
You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your CBD Black Diesel buds.
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- Thanks to the experience of our customers with our CBD Black Diesel seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%.
For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our CBD seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world.
Remember that our cannabis plants also need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period.
When you grow outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If you prefer to grow indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ℉ and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day.
CBD plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest.
Outdoors, breeders in the northern hemisphere should sow their cannabis seeds in April for harvest in mid October. Healthy CBD Black Diesel seeds produce about 14 – 15 oz/plant | 400 – 450 gr/plant of buds each.
Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 10 weeks and produce about 1.47 – 1.8 oz/ft² | 450 – 550 gr/m².
Ideal Climate for Growing
CBD Black Diesel (1:1) flourishes in a mild, temperate climate with ample sunshine and moderate humidity. The optimal temperature range is 70-80 ℉ (21-27 ℃), which promotes healthy growth and robust cannabinoid production. Good airflow and careful soil drainage are essential to prevent mold or root rot, which can affect overall yield.
In the United States, the best states for CBD Black Diesel include California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Florida and New Mexico, which offer ideal temperatures, sufficient sunlight and the right humidity to maximize the strain’s properties. Whether you are a novice or an experienced grower, matching these climate conditions will help you achieve the best results and a thriving, CBD-rich harvest.

CBD Black Diesel terpenes
CBD Black Diesel (1:1) carries the pungent character of its NYC Diesel parent: a sharp diesel-and-pine aroma with a fuel-like edge, wrapped in a balanced high-CBD profile. It has a broad set of ten terpenes, led by four dominant players that shape both that scent and its happy, relaxed and uplifted effect.
Alpha-Pinene leads with a crisp, fresh pine note that heads up the strain’s piney flavor. Tied to mental clarity and focus, it keeps the CBD-driven calm clear-headed and lends a clean, green brightness.
Delta-3-Carene adds a sweet, piney, dry-resin depth that carries the diesel, fuel-like character at the heart of the aroma.
Terpinolene brings a fresh, fruity-herbal brightness with a light fuel edge. Associated with an uplifting, clear-headed feel, it reinforces the happy, uplifted side of the effect.
Terpineol contributes a soft, lilac-and-pine floral sweetness tied to a calming, relaxing feel, adding gentle balance and pairing naturally with the high CBD.
A supporting cast of Eugenol, Nerolidol, Trans-Nerolidol, Alpha-Phellandrene, Gamma-Terpinene and P-Cymene adds spicy, woody, floral and citrus accents plus a soothing, tension-easing edge, giving CBD Black Diesel a pungent diesel-and-pine aroma paired with a happy, relaxed and uplifted effect, kept smooth and low-intensity by its 1:1 CBD to THC ratio.
