Lineage Tangie x Chocolope strain
Tangie x Chocolope is a mostly sativa hybrid, 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, from crossing California Orange x Skunk (Tangie) with Chocolope. It carries a citrus, fruity flavor over a strong, mostly sativa body high.
With a THC of 12% to 17%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy, uplifting experience.
Origin
Tangie x Chocolope comes from a remarkable blend of American genetics, combining the vibrant, citrusy essence of Tangie with the rich, chocolatey tones of Chocolope.
Both parents have deep roots in the American cannabis scene and are prized worldwide. This cross was carefully bred to capture the best of both, a sought-after choice for growers and consumers alike.
Its robust lineage lets this feminized strain thrive in various climates, producing high yields and potent effects that reflect its rich genetic background.
Tangie x Chocolope Sativa or Indica?
Tangie x Chocolope is a sativa-dominant strain, 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, inheriting the energetic, uplifting character typical of its sativa lineage. The Tangie side brings a vibrant, uplifting nature, while Chocolope adds a touch of cerebral euphoria.
With that sativa dominance, it is ideal for daytime use, providing a stimulating, creative boost without heavy sedation. The sativa traits show in its growth too, with tall plants and long, resinous buds.
Tangie x Chocolope Effects
The effects of Tangie x Chocolope are predominantly uplifting and energizing, a perfect choice for a creative or social buzz. Many report a euphoric, focused experience from its cerebral high: the citrusy Tangie side brings refreshing mental clarity, while the Chocolope lineage adds depth to the euphoria, for a well-rounded, invigorating experience. Many also turn to it for support with fatigue, muscle spasms and stress.
It is especially appreciated for lifting the mood and sparking creativity without anxiety or paranoia, an excellent option for daytime activities, whether work, socializing or creative projects. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Tangie x Chocolope seeds
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing ourĀ Tangie x ChocolopeĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil.
Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Tangie x Chocolope Flowering Time
Tangie x Chocolope typically flowers in around 9 to 10 weeks. Over that period the plants develop large, dense buds covered in a thick layer of trichomes. Its sativa-dominant nature means it may want a bit more time and space to reach its full potential, but the wait is well worth it for the high-quality yield.
It suits both indoor and outdoor cultivation, with indoor growers benefiting from its manageable height and robust growth. Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, it is typically ready to harvest in October, depending on climate and conditions.
How to grow Tangie x Chocolope strain?
Tangie x Chocolope seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are robust, hardy and moderately easy to grow, a tall sativa that benefits from some training, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience with Tangie x Chocolope, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day. These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 21.16 oz per plant (600 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 9 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.47 to 1.64 oz/ft² (450 to 500 g/m²).
Ideal Climate for Growing
Tangie x Chocolope flourishes in a temperate climate. The ideal range is 70 to 80 ā (21 to 27 ā), perfect conditions for this hybrid to reach its full potential. Adequate sunlight is key, so aim for at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight a day, and use a well-draining soil mix with organic nutrients to support healthy growth and bring out the strainās unique flavors.
In the United States, optimal states include California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Texas and Louisiana, with the warm temperatures and abundant sunlight the strain needs. Keeping humidity consistent and protecting the plants from extreme weather helps ensure a successful harvest of this exceptional variety.
What does the strain smell like?
The buds of Tangie x Chocolope are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it leads with bright, zesty citrus and ripe fruit, the sweet-orange signature of its Tangie side, with a subtle chocolate-coffee undertone from Chocolope.
Tangie x Chocolope makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy, uplifting experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its bright citrus profile.
Experiencing the strain
With a Medium THC of 12% to 17%, Tangie x Chocolope brings a happy, energetic and uplifting state with a clear, creative head. It leaves you cheerful and motivated, with a bright citrus lift.
It is best enjoyed through the day or afternoon, when its uplifting side shines. A mostly sativa plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches, it grows well indoors or outdoors, with a similar production and a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.
Tangie x Chocolope seeds are a mostly sativa strain that takes 9 to 10 weeks of flowering. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.
Tangie x Chocolope terpenes
Tangie x Chocolope carries a ten-terpene profile that shapes both its bright, fruity aroma and its energetic, uplifting high, while the zesty citrus note it is known for leans more on its Tangie lineage than on any single terpene.
Terpinolene leads the blend, a fresh, fruity-sweet note with a faintly herbal, citrus-tinged edge that is the closest terpene match to the strainās bright flavor. It is often linked to an uplifting, clear-headed feel rather than sedation. In Tangie x Chocolope it drives the energetic, creative daytime character and ties into the strainās use for fatigue.
Caryophyllene adds a warm, peppery spice that grounds the fruity top notes with a little depth. It is the one terpene that interacts with the bodyās CB2 receptors and is widely tied to calming, anti-inflammatory properties. Here it sits behind the strainās use for muscle spasms and everyday stress.
Myrcene rounds the profile, a ripe, earthy-fruity note that fills out the sweetness and gives the smoke some body. It is widely associated with a relaxing, muscle-softening quality. In this cultivar it provides a light physical ease that balances the energetic head and supports relief from muscle tension.
Linalool brings a soft, floral note with a faint sweetness, widely linked to a calming, stress-easing quality that settles an overactive mind. It balances the lively top notes and reinforces the strainās stress-relieving side.
Rounding out the profile, Bisabolol and Farnesene add soft, soothing floral-herbal notes, Humulene an earthy, woody depth that echoes the Caryophyllene, Alpha-Pinene and Camphene a fresh pine lift with a touch of clarity, and Beta-Phellandrene a subtle minty-citrus accent that completes the aroma.
