Lineage Somango Regular strain
Somango Regular is a mostly indica hybrid, 10% Sativa / 90% Indica, from crossing Super Skunk x Big Skunk Korean x Jack Herer. Regular seeds cannot be classified as feminized: they are the original seeds from nature, carrying both sexes, male and female.
It carries fruity, sweet, tropical notes over a strong, mostly indica body high. With a Medium THC of 21% to 23%, it is a great choice for anyone after a strong, relaxing experience.
Origin
Somango Regular is a predominantly indica strain from a cross of Jack Herer, Super Skunk and Big Skunk Korean, bred to bring out its signature fruity flavor and potent, relaxing effects.
Careful breeding has stabilized its genetics for consistent quality and potency, giving a strain that is highly valued by growers and consumers alike for its reliability and its sweet, tropical character.
Somango Regular Sativa or Indica?
Somango Regular is predominantly indica, 10% Sativa / 90% Indica, delivering a happy, relaxed and gently uplifted experience. It is deeply calming, perfect for evening use and for unwinding after a long day.
It shows classic indica traits too: dense buds and broad leaves. Those features, paired with its potent relaxing effects, confirm how far it leans to the indica side. Expect a soothing, body-heavy sensation that helps ease stress and promotes restful sleep.
Somango Regular Effects
The effects of Somango Regular are primarily happy, relaxed and gently uplifted, settling into a deep body calm. Many report a profound sense of ease that helps release tension, and turn to it for support with arthritis, insomnia and everyday pain. It is particularly suited to evening use, where its sedative side can also help toward better sleep.
It is well regarded for easing physical discomfort, with a soothing effect that helps with muscle aches and chronic pain. That comprehensive relaxation makes it a favored choice for both mental and physical relief after a long day. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Somango Regular
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our regular cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing ourĀ Somango RegularĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room-temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring:Ā Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room-temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil.
Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Somango Regular Flowering Time
Somango Regular has a moderate flowering time, typically 8 to 10 weeks. That window lets the plant fully develop its potent effects and rich flavors, and growers value how it balances a quality yield with an efficient cycle.
It is also resilient and robust, a reliable choice for cultivators. Its resistance to common pests and diseases, paired with the moderate flowering time, makes for a smooth, rewarding grow. Whether you are a novice or experienced, it promises a high-quality harvest with minimal hassle.
How to Grow Somango Regular
Somango Regular seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are compact, robust, hardy and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience with Somango Regular, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter. Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
Regular plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 12.35 to 15.87 oz per plant (350 to 450 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.47 to 1.97 oz/ft² (450 to 600 g/m²).
Ideal Climate for Growing
Somango Regular flourishes in a temperate climate of long, sunny days and moderate humidity. The ideal range is 70 to 80 ā (21 to 27 ā), which promotes robust growth and maximizes yield. It benefits from consistent lighting and well-draining soil, key to preventing root rot and mildew, so aim for the right balance of warmth and moisture to bring out the flavors and effects Somango is known for.
In the United States, well-suited states include California, where coastal breezes regulate temperatures, and Florida for its warmth and sunshine. Oregon and Washington offer the right humidity balance, while Texas, Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee also present suitable conditions. In these states, Somango plants thrive for a successful harvest of high-quality cannabis.
What does the strain smell like?
The buds of Somango Regular are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it is all about sweet tropical fruit, the ripe mango character that gives Somango its name, with a smooth, sugary finish.
Somango Regular makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a strong, relaxing experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its sweet, tropical, fruity profile.
Experiencing the strain
With a Medium THC of 21% to 23%, Somango Regular brings a happy, deeply relaxed state of body and mind with a light, uplifted edge. It leaves you cheerful and at ease, settling into a comfortable body calm, perfect for the evening after a long day.
It is a mostly indica plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches. It grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.
Somango Regular seeds are a mostly indica strain with a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.
Somango Regular terpenes
Somango Regular carries a broad ten-terpene profile, herbal and lightly spiced, that supports its relaxing, body-heavy indica high; its signature sweet-tropical mango flavor comes through more from the Somango lineage than from this particular terpene set, with four terpenes doing most of the aromatic work.
Terpinolene leads the profile with a fresh, fruity-herbal brightness and a light piney edge that lifts the aroma and carries the fruity side of the flavor. It is widely associated with an uplifting quality, and here it fits the gently uplifted edge of an otherwise relaxing high.
Eugenol adds a warm, clove-like, slightly woody spice. It is widely tied to soothing, comforting properties, and in this cultivar it is central to the relief many seek for arthritis, joint tension and everyday aches.
Terpineol brings a soft, floral note with a touch of pine and a faint sweetness, widely linked to a calming, relaxing quality. It works alongside the heavier terpenes to deepen the soothing finish and sits behind the strainās use against insomnia and restless nights.
Nerolidol rounds out the base with a soft, woody-floral note, widely associated with a calming, sedative quality. It reinforces the body-heavy relaxation and supports the strainās use for pain and winding down at night.
Rounding out the profile, Alpha-Pinene adds crisp pine freshness, Delta-3-Carene and Alpha-Phellandrene resinous, slightly citrusy depth, Gamma-Terpinene a zesty lift, P-Cymene a dry, spicy undertone, and Trans-Nerolidol a soft echo of the Nerolidol that completes the aroma.
