Lineage M8 Seeds

M8 is a mostly sativa hybrid, 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, from crossing Skunk x Northern Lights x a secret hybrid. It carries an earthy, herbal, skunky, woody flavor over a strong, mostly sativa body high.

With a THC of 20% to 23%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy experience with a good dose of energy.

Origin

M8 is a sativa-dominant strain with a somewhat mysterious origin, from crossing Skunk x Northern Lights x a secret hybrid. Its high THC makes it more than capable of an intense, mentally stimulating high. Created in Northern California, it shares structural similarities with the popular Amnesia Hypro strain.

Its growth pattern and terpene profile point to a lineage of classic, potent sativas. M8 seeds are prized for reliable performance and a distinctive genetic profile, with a reputation among growers for resilience and vigorous growth, a top choice for anyone after quality yields and potent effects.

M8 Strain Sativa or Indica?

M8 is a strongly sativa-dominant strain, 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, showcasing the uplifting, energetic effects typical of that classification. Its structure is tall and slender, with elongated branches that allow optimal light penetration during cultivation.

Its genetics highlight the best of the sativa side. M8 is ideal for daytime use, offering a cerebral experience that enhances creativity and focus, a favorite among enthusiasts.

M8 Effects

The effects of M8 are happy, uplifting and energetic, a go-to for anyone after a stimulating experience. It delivers a clear-headed high that boosts creativity, productivity and mood. Many also turn to it for support with fatigue, muscle spasms and stress.

Thanks to its refined genetics, M8 pairs that mental clarity with just a light physical ease, making it suitable for social activities or creative projects without the sedative drawbacks of indica-dominant strains. Effects vary from person to person.

Germinating M8 seeds

It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.

Before removing ourĀ M8Ā seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.

Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil.Ā Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF – 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC – 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.

Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.

M8 Strain Flowering Time

M8 has a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks, relatively fast for a sativa. Growers appreciate its predictable timeline, which ensures a timely harvest without sacrificing potency or quality.

It thrives in indoor and outdoor setups alike, with genetics that adapt to various environments. With proper care, M8 produces dense, resin-coated buds that highlight its premium lineage and sativa dominance.

How to grow M8 strain?

M8 seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are moderately easy to grow and hardy, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:

  • Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
  • In our customers’ experience with M8, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.

For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.

Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.

Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 19.4 oz per plant (550 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.31 to 1.8 oz/ft² (400 to 550 g/m²).

Ideal Climate

M8 flourishes in a warm, temperate climate with sunny days and mild nights. The ideal range for cultivation is 70 to 85 ℉ (21 to 29 ā„ƒ). It prefers consistent sunlight and well-draining soil to maximize yield and potency, and thrives at lower altitudes where the climate is stable, letting its robust genetics develop fully.

In the United States, an ideal climate is found in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Growers in these regions can take advantage of the favorable conditions to help M8 reach its full potential, for a thriving harvest with vibrant flavors and a rich cannabinoid profile.

What does the strain smell like?

The buds of M8 are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends an earthy, skunky base with herbal and woody notes, layered with sour lemon, pine and a spicy, incense-like edge.

M8 makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy experience with a good dose of energy. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its earthy, skunky profile.

Experiencing the strain

With a Medium THC of 20% to 23%, M8 brings a happy, uplifting and energetic state with a clear, creative head. It leaves you cheerful and motivated, with a stimulating, daytime buzz.

It is a mostly sativa plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches. It grows well indoors or outdoors, with a similar production and a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

M8 seeds are a mostly sativa strain with a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.

M8 Strain terpenes

M8 carries a ten-terpene profile that shapes both its earthy, skunky-woody aroma and its energetic, clear-headed high, with four terpenes doing most of the work.

Myrcene is the heart of the profile, a ripe, earthy-musky note that carries the strain’s skunky character and gives the smoke its body. It is widely associated with a relaxing, muscle-softening quality. In M8 it provides the physical grounding that balances the energetic head and ties into the strain’s use for muscle spasms.

Caryophyllene adds a warm, peppery spice that reads as the herbal, slightly resinous depth of the aroma. It is the one terpene that interacts with the body’s CB2 receptors and is widely tied to calming, anti-inflammatory properties. Here it reinforces the relief many seek for muscle spasms and everyday stress while anchoring the spicy notes.

Terpinolene brings a fresh, herbal-woody brightness with a faintly piney edge, typical of classic sativa genetics. It is often linked to an uplifting, clear-headed feel rather than sedation. In M8 it underpins the energetic, creative daytime character and the strain’s reputation for pushing back against fatigue.

Alpha-Pinene adds a crisp, fresh pine note that lifts the whole profile and defines its woody edge. It is widely associated with a sense of alertness and mental clarity, reinforcing the focused, energetic head and complementing the pine notes in the flavor.

Rounding out the profile, Beta-Pinene deepens that pine freshness, Humulene and Caryophyllene Oxide add earthy, woody depth, and Linalool, Bisabolol and Farnesene contribute soft, floral-calming notes that temper the stimulation and support the strain’s stress-easing side.

How To Grow M8

Read Now

Expect a classic, lanky, and tall Sativa structure. M8 is not a compact plant. It will stretch significantly, often tripling in size during the flowering stage, and develop long, elegant branches with beautiful, spear-shaped, and somewhat airy buds. This open structure is excellent for providing airflow and resisting mold in humid, tropical climates.

Yes, this can be a challenging strain for beginners. Its aggressive Sativa stretch can quickly overwhelm a small grow space, and its long flowering time (8-10 weeks) requires patience. Sativa-dominant hybrids can also be sensitive to nutrient fluctuations. We typically recommend M8 for intermediate to experienced growers who are prepared to manage a large, Sativa plant.

Taming its Sativa vigor is the key to a successful indoor harvest. We highly recommend topping the plant multiple times during its long vegetative stage to create a much wider and bushier canopy. Its long and flexible branches make it an absolutely perfect candidate for a ScrOG (Screen of Green) setup, which will allow you to control the stretch and create a massive, flat plane of huge, resin-drenched colas.
