Lineage Strawberry Kush strain

Strawberry Kush is a mostly sativa hybrid, 45% Indica / 55% Sativa, born from crossing Strawberry Cough with OG Kush. It carries a berry, earthy, herbal and sweet flavor over a full, mostly sativa high.

With a Medium THC of 18% to 23%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy experience with a good dose of energy.

Origin

Strawberry Kush comes from a blend of popular genetics that has become a favorite among enthusiasts. A hybrid of Strawberry Cough and OG Kush, it showcases a rich lineage rooted in American breeding. Common in American seed banks, this feminized strain has also gained popularity in European markets. The result pairs the sweet, berry-like flavors of Strawberry Cough with the robust, earthy tones of OG Kush, a sought-after strain worldwide.

Strawberry Kush Sativa or Indica?

This feminized strain leans to the sativa side, 45% Indica / 55% Sativa, yet still offers a relaxing experience. It draws its uplifting, clear-headed qualities from its Strawberry Cough parent, while the OG Kush side adds body and calm, for a balanced effect that appeals to a wide range of users. That mix makes it a fine choice for unwinding when relaxation is the goal, while the sativa influence keeps users clear-headed and uplifted, away from the couch-lock of heavier indicas.

Strawberry Kush Strain Effects

Strawberry Kush is primarily calming and soothing, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Users often report a gentle wave of euphoria that lifts the spirits before a relaxed body ease settles in. It is known for melting away stress and tension into a serene state of mind and body, and many also turn to it for low mood, fatigue and everyday aches. Its sativa side adds a subtle boost of creativity and focus, so you can relax without feeling too sedated. Effects vary from person to person.

Germinating Strawberry Kush seeds

It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique. Before removing ourĀ Strawberry KushĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.

Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF – 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC – 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.

Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.

Strawberry Kush Seeds Flowering Time

Strawberry Kush is known for its relatively quick flowering time, a favorite among growers. It typically flowers in about 8 to 10 weeks, letting cultivators enjoy its rich, resinous buds without a long wait. That short period, paired with a manageable size, makes it an excellent choice for indoor cultivation, and the quick turnaround doesn’t compromise quality: dense, aromatic flowers with a sweet, berry-like scent and potent effects.

How to grow Strawberry Kush seeds?

Strawberry Kush seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are compact, robust and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:

  • Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
  • In our customers’ experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.

Indoors, use wide, vertical space and the ScrOG method for a uniform canopy and larger lower flowers, which also helps manage this taller sativa’s stretch. If you prefer to grow outdoors, our grow guide covers optimal cultivation anywhere in the world. Feed proper nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages, and indoors set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter. Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day.

These feminized plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.

Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a mid-October harvest, at about 14.11 oz per plant (400 g). Indoors, the flowering time runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.47 oz/ft² (450 g/m²).

Ideal Climate for Growing Strawberry Kush

Strawberry Kush flourishes in a temperate climate of long, sunny days and mild nights. The ideal temperature range is 70 to 80 ℉ (21 to 27 ā„ƒ), which supports vibrant growth and the development of its fruity aroma. Ample sunlight is crucial, so spots with roughly 6 to 8 hours of direct sun are ideal, and keeping humidity low helps prevent mold and mildew.

In the United States, strong options include California, Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Florida and Georgia, each with the warm temperatures and sunshine the strain needs. Grown in these conditions, Strawberry Kush brings out its robust flavors and yields for a rewarding harvest.

What does the strain smell like?

The buds of Strawberry Kush are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends sweet berry with earthy and herbal notes, the strawberry character inherited from its Strawberry Cough parent.

Strawberry Kush makes for a smooth, soft smoke with a happy, uplifting character. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its sweet, berry-forward profile.

Experiencing the strain

With a Medium THC of 18% to 23%, Strawberry Kush brings a happy, relaxed and clear-headed state that lifts the mood while easing the body, leaving most users cheerful and content. Many also turn to it for low mood, fatigue and everyday tension.

It is a versatile strain, pleasant from a creative afternoon to unwinding in the evening. A mostly sativa plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches, it grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

As a feminized strain, Strawberry Kush has a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks, and feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.

Strawberry Kush Strain terpenes

Strawberry Kush carries a deep, complex terpene profile, but four terpenes shape its sweet berry-and-earthy aroma and its calm, happy effect.

Myrcene forms the earthy, musky base of the strain and is the terpene most widely tied to body relaxation and physical ease. It drives the settling calm behind Strawberry Kush’s soothing character, the part of the profile that melts away tension and underpins its use for everyday aches and winding down.

Caryophyllene brings a warm, peppery spice that deepens the earthy side of the flavor. As the terpene best known for easing inflammation and discomfort at the receptor level, it anchors the strain’s relief for arthritis and joint stiffness while grounding the experience in a steady body comfort.

Limonene lifts the profile with a bright, sweet-citrus note. Widely associated with an elevated, positive mood, it is the terpene behind the strain’s happy, euphoric spark and its appeal against low spirits and daytime fatigue, balancing the earthy base with a clean brightness.

Linalool rounds things out with a soft, floral, faintly sweet note that soothes the nervous system and quiets a busy mind. Working alongside Myrcene, it deepens the relaxed, serene side of the high and supports the strain’s value for stress and low mood.

Beyond these four, the profile is unusually rich: Alpha-Pinene, Terpinolene and Citral add fresh pine and citrus lift, Eugenol a warm clove spice, and Humulene, Borneol, Camphene, Cadinene, Fenchol, Nerolidol, Farnesene, Terpineol, Alpha-Cedrene and Phytol fill in the woody, herbal and resinous depth. The sweet strawberry note of the flavor comes mainly from its Strawberry Cough lineage.
