Lineage Diesel seeds
Diesel is a mostly sativa hybrid, 70% Sativa / 30% Indica, from crossing Jack Herer x NYC Diesel. It carries a pungent, fuel-like aroma with fruity, citrus accents from its NYC Diesel and Jack Herer side, over a strong, mostly sativa high.
With a THC of 12% to 21%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy experience with a good dose of energy.
Origin
Diesel is a predominantly sativa strain that traces its roots to the renowned Chemdawg lineage, bred for robust growth and its distinctive fuel-like aroma, with a unique terpene profile and strong potency.
Careful breeding has refined it for genetic stability and consistent quality, giving a strain highly regarded for its powerful effects and reliable cultivation results.
Diesel Seeds Sativa or Indica?
Diesel is primarily a sativa, 70% Sativa / 30% Indica, a quintessential example of the uplifting, energizing effects sativas are known for. It delivers a cerebral, invigorating experience, ideal for daytime use and activities that call for mental clarity and focus.
It shows classic sativa traits too: a tall stature and long, thin leaves. Those features, with its stimulating effects, confirm its sativa dominance. Expect a vibrant, mind-boosting high that enhances creativity and lifts the mood, a popular choice for anyone after a dynamic, lively experience.
Diesel Strain Effects
The effects of Diesel are predominantly creative, energetic and relaxed, an excellent choice for lifting the day. Many report a surge of euphoria and heightened mental clarity that aids focus and productivity, ideal for daytime use, with a balanced character that fights fatigue and stimulates the mind. Many also turn to it for support with arthritis, pain and everyday tension.
It is also known for easing mild stress, with a clear-headed, uplifting experience. Its energizing effects make it a favorite for anyone who wants to stay motivated and mentally sharp through the day. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Diesel seeds
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique. Before removing ourĀ DieselĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room-temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring:Ā Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room-temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Diesel Strain Flowering Time
Diesel typically flowers in 9 to 10 weeks. That window lets the plant fully develop its dense, aromatic buds and a robust terpene profile, for a potent, flavorful yield in a manageable timeframe.
It is also resilient and easy to cultivate, suitable for growers of varying skill levels. Its strong resistance to pests and diseases, paired with a consistent flowering time, makes for a straightforward, rewarding grow. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cultivator, it promises a bountiful harvest with minimal challenges.
How to grow Diesel strain?
Diesel seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are robust, hardy and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience with Diesel, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter. Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
Feminized plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 17.64 to 22.93 oz per plant (500 to 650 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 9 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.64 oz/ft² (500 g/m²).
Ideal Climate
Diesel flourishes in a temperate climate. The ideal range is 70 to 80 ā (21 to 27 ā), and it thrives with plenty of sunshine for healthy development and maximum yield. Well-draining soil is essential to prevent water accumulation and root rot, and consistent humidity around 40 to 60% supports the plantās health through its growth stages.
In the United States, well-suited states include California, Colorado, Oregon, Florida and Texas, with the warm temperatures, adequate sunlight and growing season Diesel needs. In optimal conditions, growers can expect robust plants with high-quality yields, a popular choice among enthusiasts and cultivators alike.
What does the strain smell like?
The buds of Diesel are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it leads with the pungent, fuel-like diesel character that gives the strain its name, lifted by fruity, citrus notes from its NYC Diesel and Jack Herer lineage.
Diesel makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy, energetic experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its fuel-and-citrus profile.
Experiencing the strain
With a THC of 12% to 21%, Diesel brings a happy, upbeat state of mind with a creative, energetic lift. It leaves you cheerful and clear-headed, with just enough body ease to stay comfortable, well suited to daytime use.
It is a mostly sativa plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches. It grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.
Diesel seeds are a mostly sativa strain with a flowering period of 9 to 10 weeks. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.

Diesel Seeds terpenes
Diesel carries a broad ten-terpene profile, piney, herbal and spicy, that sits beneath its pungent, fuel-like aroma and shapes its energetic, sativa-forward high, with four terpenes leading the way.
Terpinolene leads the profile with a fresh, fruity-herbal brightness and a light piney edge, an echo of its Jack Herer heritage. It is widely associated with an uplifting, clear-headed quality, and here it fits the energetic, creative character of the high.
Eugenol adds a warm, clove-like, slightly woody spice. It is widely tied to soothing, comforting properties, and in this cultivar it is central to the relief many seek for arthritis, joint tension and everyday pain.
Terpineol brings a soft, herbal-floral note with a touch of pine and faint sweetness, widely linked to a calming, relaxing quality. It provides the soothing undertone behind the strainās use for restless, sleepless nights.
Alpha-Pinene contributes a crisp, fresh pine note that lifts the aroma and keeps it clean. It is widely associated with a sense of alertness and mental clarity, reinforcing the strainās daytime-friendly, focused edge.
Rounding out the profile, Delta-3-Carene and Alpha-Phellandrene add resinous, slightly citrusy depth, Gamma-Terpinene a zesty lift, P-Cymene a dry, spicy undertone, and Nerolidol a soft, woody-floral calm that completes the aroma.
