Lineage Budmint Strain
Budmint is a mostly indica hybrid, 40% Sativa / 60% Indica, from crossing Girl Scout Cookies x Mint Chocolate Chip. It carries earthy, minty, sweet flavors over a strong, mostly indica body high.
With a Medium THC of 17% to 22%, it is a great choice for anyone after a strong, relaxing experience.
Origin
Budmint comes from a careful cross of two iconic U.S. varieties: Girl Scout Cookies and Mint Chocolate Chip. That pairing brings a rich lineage running through Durban Poison, OG Kush, Green Crack, Trainwreck, Afghanica and White Rhino, giving a strain with a robust structure, a complex terpene profile and notable potency.
With that carefully selected parentage, Budmint feminized seeds offer consistent growth and premium yields. It inherits the best of its ancestors, blending sweet, minty notes with earthy undertones, a favorite among seasoned growers and connoisseurs alike.
Budmint Sativa or Indica?
Budmint is an indica-dominant hybrid, 40% Sativa / 60% Indica, with the deeply relaxing effects characteristic of this lineage. Its calming influence makes it ideal for unwinding after a long day, easing stress and promoting restful sleep, while a small sativa portion adds a mild cerebral uplift to the soothing experience.
Growers will notice its broad, dark green leaves and dense, resin-coated buds, classic indica traits. It is well regarded for staying balanced, offering a tranquil yet mentally clear experience for anyone seeking relaxation without heavy sedation.
Budmint Effects
The effects of Budmint are deeply relaxing and sedative, a perfect choice for evening use. Many report a warm, tranquil sensation paired with gentle mental clarity. Those qualities also make it one people turn to for support with arthritis, insomnia and everyday pain.
Budmint produces balanced, approachable effects, a pleasant experience for users of all tolerance levels. Its rich terpene profile drives the soothing character, with a harmonious blend of sweet mint and earthy flavors that lift both mood and body. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Budmint Seeds
It is important to germinate your Budmint Feminized seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, from Blimburn Seeds we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing our Budmint cannabis seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. The PH of our hands full of bacteria can easily infect them and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Budmint Flowering Time
Budmint has an efficient flowering cycle, maturing in 8 to 10 weeks. That relatively short timeline makes it popular with growers after high-quality yields in a manageable window, with dense, trichome-rich buds that reflect its genetics.
Indoors, growers can fine-tune the process with controlled lighting and humidity; outdoors, it thrives in mild climates and delivers consistent results. With proper care, Budmint rewards cultivators with a bountiful harvest of potent, aromatic flowers.
How to Grow Budmint strain?
Budmint feminized seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are compact, robust, hardy and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience with Budmint, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter. Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
Feminized plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 21.16 to 24.69 oz per plant (600 to 700 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.15 to 1.47 oz/ft² (350 to 450 g/m²).
Ideal Climate for Growing
Budmint flourishes in a warm, temperate climate, with summer temperatures ideally 70 to 80 ā (21 to 27 ā). It performs best with plenty of sunlight and moderate humidity. Use well-draining soil and water regularly, taking care to avoid over-saturation. With the right environment, Budmint reaches its full potential, delivering robust yields and rich flavors.
In the United States, well-suited states include California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Florida, with the warm temperatures and sunlight this strain needs. Plant through the warmer months for a fruitful harvest. With quality seeds and these conditions, growers can enjoy Budmintās unique character while maximizing their harvest.
What does the Strain Smell Like?
The buds of Budmint are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it leads with a cool, minty note over an earthy base and a sweet finish, a clear nod to its Mint Chocolate Chip side.
Budmint makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a strong, relaxing experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its minty, earthy, sweet profile.

Cannabis Terpenes Budmint
Budmint carries a broad thirteen-terpene profile that shapes both its cool, minty, earthy-sweet aroma and its relaxing, sedative indica high, with four terpenes leading the way.
Caryophyllene anchors the profile with a warm, peppery spice that grounds the earthy base. It is the one terpene that interacts with the bodyās CB2 receptors and is widely tied to calming, tension-soothing properties. Here it is central to the relief many seek for arthritis, joint discomfort and everyday pain.
Myrcene adds a ripe, earthy sweetness that gives the smoke its weight. It is widely associated with a deeply relaxing, muscle-softening quality, and in this cultivar it drives the heavy body calm and sits behind the strainās use for pain and sleepless nights.
Eucalyptol brings the signature cool, minty, slightly camphor-like note that defines the strainās mint flavor and ties straight back to its Mint Chocolate Chip heritage. It is widely linked to a fresh, soothing quality, and here it adds a clean lift to the earthy, sedative base while complementing the strainās use for aches.
Linalool rounds things off with a soft, floral sweetness, widely linked to a calming, stress-easing quality that quiets an overactive mind. It works alongside the Myrcene to deepen the sedative finish and supports the strainās use against insomnia.
Rounding out the profile, Humulene adds earthy, woody depth, Alpha-Pinene and Beta-Pinene crisp pine freshness, Caryophyllene Oxide, Delta-3-Carene and Alpha-Phellandrene resinous, slightly spicy accents, Terpinolene a fresh herbal lift, and Geranyl Acetate with Nerolidol soft, floral-sweet undertones that complete the aroma.
