It also carries a Medium THC of 17% – 20%, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a strong, relaxing experience.
Origin
Bubba’s Gift originates from California, USA, crafted by crossing two celebrated strains: Bubba Kush and God’s Gift. The blend brings together the genetics of Bubble Gum, OG Kush and Grandaddy Purple, resulting in a strain that stands out for its potent effects and rich, fruity aroma. Known for its resilience and distinct heritage, it is highly valued by both recreational and medicinal users.
It is also a popular choice for growers after a premium strain with strong roots. Bubba’s Gift seeds offer a reliable growth cycle, combining the best qualities of both parents for consistent results and high-quality yields.
Bubba’s Gift Strain Sativa or Indica?
Bubba’s Gift is a predominantly Indica strain (80% Indica / 20% Sativa), known for its creative, relaxed and sedative effects. The strong indica influence from Bubba Kush and Grand Daddy Purple makes it ideal for evening use, promoting calm and relaxation, while a mild cerebral lift keeps it enjoyable for anyone who wants relaxation with a touch of mental clarity.

Bubba Gift Effects
The effects of Bubba’s Gift are deeply relaxing and soothing, an excellent choice for unwinding. It offers a comforting, full-body experience that gradually eases tension, thanks to its indica-dominant genetics, while a gentle cerebral, lightly creative touch lifts the mood without overwhelming.
It is also widely valued for helping with low mood, insomnia and muscle spasms. Bubba’s Gift seeds ensure a consistent, reliable experience, with effects that are both physically and mentally soothing, ideal for recreational and therapeutic use.
Germinating Bubba’s Gift Seeds
It is important to germinate your Bubba’s Gift SeedsĀ carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, from Blimburn Seeds we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing our Bubba’s Gift SeedsĀ from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. The PH of our hands full of bacteria can easily infect them and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room-temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5.
Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines.
Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Bubba’s Gift Strain Flowering Time
Bubba’s Gift has a relatively quick flowering time, taking approximately 8-10 weeks to reach full maturity. That short period makes it a favorite among cultivators who want fast, efficient yields, and the seeds are known for sturdy growth that adapts well indoors or outdoors.
Thanks to its resilient genetics, the strain thrives in diverse climates, producing generous, high-quality yields. Its efficient cycle lets growers enjoy multiple harvests within a season, a practical choice for anyone seeking both quality and speed.
How to Grow Bubba’s Gift Seeds?
Bubba’s Gift seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are moderately easy to grow and hardy, we should always prevent any pests.
You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your feminized Bubba’s Gift buds.
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- Thanks to the experience of our customers with our feminized Bubba’s Gift seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%.
For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our feminized seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world.
Remember that our plants also need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period.
When growing outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If you prefer to grow indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law. Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ā and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
Feminized plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest.
Outdoors, growers in the Northern Hemisphere should sow in April to harvest in mid October. Healthy feminized Bubba’s Gift seeds produce about 21.16 – 28.22 oz/plant | 600 – 800 g/plant of buds each.
Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 10 weeks and produce about 1.31 – 1.97 oz/ft² | 400 – 600 gr/m².
Ideal Climate for Growing
Bubba’s Gift flourishes in a warm climate, ideally temperate to Mediterranean or subtropical conditions. For optimal growth, keep temperatures between 70-85 ā (21-29 ā), which promote robust development and flowering, with consistent sunlight being crucial. It is resilient across various altitudes but does best at lower elevations where the climate stays stable and warm. Adequate precipitation and well-draining soil are also essential to avoid excess moisture and root issues.
In the United States, ideal locations include California, Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Arizona and Hawaii, where the weather provides the warmth this strain loves. In these conditions, Bubba’s Gift feminized seeds express their renowned genetics, resulting in potent yields and flavorful buds.
What does the Strain Smell Like?
The buds of Bubba’s Gift are rock hard, soaked in resin and carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes.
Its flavor is a blend of diesel, fruity and spicy notes, with a complex aroma of roasted coffee, hashish and fuel from the Bubba Kush side, combined with sweet caramel-grape and dark-berry notes from God’s Gift (Grandaddy Purple).
Bubba’s Gift makes a delicious, smooth smoke and delivers a strong, relaxing experience. Thanks to its large resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high quality extracts and concentrates.
Experiencing the Strain

It is perfect to enjoy in the evening after a long day. The plant has a mostly Indica structure, with a sturdy stem that supports its branches, and can be grown both indoors and outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets plenty of hours of sunshine outdoors.
Our Bubba’s Gift seeds are a mostly Indica strain that takes about 8 – 10 weeks from germination to harvest. Remember to provide the right nutrients at each stage of cultivation to obtain resinous buds packed with trichomes.

Cannabis Terpenes Bubba’s Gift Strain
Bubba’s Gift carries a complex aroma of diesel, fruit and spice, built on a deep profile of nineteen terpenes. Four dominant players shape both its scent and its relaxed, sedative effect.
Myrcene forms the earthy, fruity-musky base of the aroma. The most common cannabis terpene and the one most tied to body relaxation, it drives the deep, sedative calm at the heart of this indica and supports its use for insomnia.
Caryophyllene adds the warm, peppery, diesel-like spice central to the flavor. The only terpene known to bind the body’s CB2 receptors, it is widely linked to easing tension, which supports the strain’s use for muscle spasms.
Limonene brings a bright, fruity citrus note tied to an elevated mood, the light creative lift that keeps the heavy relaxation from feeling one-note.
Linalool contributes a soft floral note that quiets the mind, deepening the soothing, sedative calm and reinforcing its value for restful sleep.
A deep supporting cast rounds things out: Citral adds more fruity citrus, Humulene an earthy, hoppy warmth, Eugenol a warm clove spice, Terpineol, Nerolidol and Phytol soft, grounding, sedative tones, Borneol and Camphene cooling camphor-herbal notes tied to easing muscle tension, Alpha-Pinene, Terpinolene and Ocimene a fresh herbal-pine lift that keeps the creative edge, Farnesene a soft green-floral note, and Fenchol, Alpha-Cedrene and Cadinene woody, earthy depth, giving Bubba’s Gift a diesel, fruity and spicy aroma paired with a creative, relaxed and sedative effect.

How To Grow Bubba’s Gift
Read NowYes, absolutely! This is one of the most beautiful traits of this cross. Thanks to its God’s Gift (Granddaddy Purple) and Bubba Kush (Purple Afghani) lineage, many phenotypes, especially when exposed to slightly cooler nighttime temperatures, will develop stunning deep, rich purple and even lavender hues throughout the buds and sugar leaves.
While it’s 80% Indica, it is not a short, compact plant. It inherits the significant stretch from its OG Kush and Granddaddy Purple lineage. Expect a medium-to-tall plant with a vigorous, branching structure and long, sturdy limbs that are perfect for training (like LST or ScrOG) to support the weight of its heavy, dense colas.
This cross is an extract artist’s dream because it combines two legendary “hash plants.” Both Bubba Kush and God’s Gift are famous for their massive, large-headed trichome production. This results in a plant that is absolutely caked in a thick, greasy layer of resin, perfect for solventless extraction. It produces incredible yields of full-melt bubble hash and live rosin that are bursting with that unique “grape and coffee” flavor.
