Germinating San Fernando Valley Regular

It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Regular cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique. Before removing our San Fernando Valley Regular seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.

Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.

Record Keeping: To qualify for the three-month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.

San Fernando Valley Regular Seeds Flowering Time

San Fernando Valley Regular seeds has a moderate flowering time, typically ranging from 8 to 10 weeks. This period allows the plant to fully develop its potent effects and rich flavors. Growers appreciate this manageable flowering period, as it balances quality yield with efficient growing.

How to grow San Fernando Valley Regular seeds?

San Fernando Valley Regular seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are compact and robust, moderately easy to grow and hardy, we should always prevent any pests.

You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your San Fernando Valley Regular buds.

  • Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
  • Thanks to the experience of our customers with our San Fernando Valley Regular seeds, we know that we can increase yields up to 20%.

For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform plane and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our Regular seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world.

Remember that our cannabis plants also need good nutrients when our Regular seeds are seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period.

When you grow cannabis seeds outdoors, choose the best date for your crop, a place where our cannabis plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If on the other hand you like to grow your Regular seeds indoors and you have good tents, textile pots for growing, led lighting, air extractor, to circulate clean air and of course a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law. Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ℉ and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day.

Regular plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) levels at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase. Reduce RH to around 40% during the flowering phase. By harvest time, you can reduce RH to 30%.

Outdoors, breeders in the northern hemisphere should sow their cannabis seeds in April for harvest in mid October. Healthy San Fernando Valley Regular seeds produce about 15 – 17 oz/plant | 450 – 500 gr/plant of buds each. Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 10 weeks and produce about 1.47 – 1.64 oz/ft² | 450 – 500 g/m².

Ideal Climate for Growing

The San Fernando Valley Regular strain flourishes in a warm, sunny climate, making it perfect for cultivation in Mediterranean or temperate regions. The ideal temperature range for growing this variety is between 70–85°F (21–29°C). These temperatures promote healthy growth and robust yields. San Fernando Valley Regular adapts well to various elevations, but consistently warm conditions and ample sunlight are crucial for achieving the best results. Additionally, the strain prefers well draining soil and moderate annual rainfall.

For growers in the U.S., states with optimal climates for cultivating San Fernando Valley Regular include California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida, Texas, and New Mexico. These regions provide the warm temperatures and sunlight needed for this strain to thrive. By choosing to grow San Fernando Valley Regular in these ideal conditions, cultivators can take full advantage of its unique genetic properties and maximize their harvests.

What does the strain smell like?

The buds of San Fernando Valley Regular are rock hard, soaked in resin and carry a crystalline sheen from the heavy coat of trichomes. The taste and flavor can be described as a blend of citrus, earthy and sweet notes.

San Fernando Valley Regular makes a delicious, smooth smoke and delivers a well rounded, happy and relaxing experience. Thanks to its large resin production, it is an ideal strain for the production of high quality extracts and concentrates.

A good terpene profile enhances the flavors of the buds of cannabis plants. Terpenes are volatile organic compounds that are produced in the cannabis plant and have an effect on the aroma and flavor of the buds.

These terpenes act as a kind of energizer for the flavors of the buds, as they add a fresh, citrusy touch to the sweeter flavors found in the buds. On the other hand, terpenes also have an effect on the effect that cannabis produces when smoked, as some terpenes have sedative properties, while others can act as stimulants. For this reason, it is important to know the different terpenes found in a given cannabis strain before smoking it, in order to get the most out of the flavors and effects they produce.

Experiencing the strain

San Fernando Valley Regular is a High-THC strain of 22% – 24% that brings a happy, uplifted and relaxed state. This mostly Indica marijuana keeps the body calm while the mind stays clear and cheerful, lifting you into a bright, content headspace. It can make anyone feel happy and at ease.

The strain works well for both day and evening use, thanks to its balanced, uplifting character. It is a marijuana plant with a mostly Indica structure: a large stem that supports its satellite branches, which we can grow both indoors and outdoors, obtaining a similar production but with a higher yield when it is fed with all the hours of sunshine outdoors.

Our San Fernando Valley Regular seeds are a mostly indica strain that has a flowering period of 8 – 10 weeks. Remember that in each period of cultivation of our marijuana plant it is important to provide it with the corresponding nutrients to obtain resinous buds and trichomes.

San Fernando Valley Regular terpenes

San Fernando Valley Regular carries a bright, citrus-forward aroma with a sweet lift over a deep, earthy OG base, a hallmark of its SFV OG heritage. Behind that scent sits a broad terpene profile, and three of them lead, shaping both the aroma and its happy, relaxed and uplifted character.

Limonene drives the strain’s fresh citrus lift, clean and zesty. Often associated with an uplifted, happy mood and mental sharpness, it powers the bright, upbeat side of the experience.

Linalool adds a soft, floral, lightly sweet note that rounds out the citrus. Often tied to a calm, settled feeling, it lends a smooth, relaxed base without heaviness.

Terpinolene contributes a fresh, herbal and lightly fruity touch that keeps the profile lively. Often tied to an uplifting feel, it reinforces the clear-headed, functional side of the high.

Together, these terpenes give San Fernando Valley Regular its signature character: a bright citrus and sweet aroma over an earthy base, paired with a happy, relaxed and uplifted effect that suits both day and evening.

Of the 6 seeds we tried all six germinated. Plants produced super well considering this is our 1st year growing and we have made a couple beginner mistakes.
