Lineage Power Plant strain

Power Plant is a mostly sativa strain, 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, descended from African landrace genetics. It carries an earthy, sweet flavor over a strong, mostly sativa high.

With a Medium THC of 13% to 21%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy experience with a good dose of energy.

Origin

Power Plant’s genetics were perfected in Amsterdam, but this sativa is originally from South Africa, with its exact origins remaining something of a mystery.

With ties to varieties such as White Widow, Durban Poison and South African strains, it has earned a reputation as a champion across Europe and Canada. Known for its stability and high performance, Power Plant seeds remain a favorite among growers and consumers alike.

Power Plant Strain Awards

Power Plant earned 2nd Place, Outdoor at Spannabis 2012, one of Europe’s most influential cannabis competitions. The podium finish highlights how well it adapts to full-season outdoor growing, with vigorous vertical growth, a stable structure and consistent flowering under natural conditions.

Germinating Power Plant seeds

It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.

Before removing ourĀ Power PlantĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.

Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF – 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC – 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.

Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.

Power Plant Seeds Flowering Time

Power Plant seeds boast a flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks, a reasonable period for a sativa strain. Its quick growth cycle makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation.

With proper care, Power Plant produces generous yields of potent buds. Growers can expect healthy plants with dense flowers and robust resin production, an excellent choice for high-quality cannabis in a relatively short period.

Power Plant is a cannabis plant that is easy to grow, adapting to any growing environment. It produces about 550 to 600 g/m² indoors and up to 800 g per plant outdoors, with buds ready to harvest within 60 to 65 days of flowering, finishing fully loaded with resin.

How to grow Power Plant strain?

Power Plant seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, which helps avoid problems during their development. The plants are robust, moderately easy to grow and hardy, though it is always worth guarding against pests.

A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your Feminized Power Plant buds:

  • Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
  • In our customers’ experience with Feminized Power Plant seeds, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.

For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to build a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our Feminized seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any part of the world.

Our plants need good nutrients at every stage, from seedling through the vegetative and flowering periods. When growing outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a spot where the plants get the most hours of sunshine. Indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and a quality carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law.

Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. Feminized plants thrive in low humidity: keep RH at 55 to 60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.

Outdoors, growers in the northern hemisphere should sow in April for harvest in mid-October. Healthy Feminized Power Plant seeds produce about 21.16 to 28.22 oz per plant (600 to 800 g).

Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of about 1.8 to 1.97 oz/ft² (550 to 600 g/m²).

Ideal Climate for Growing

Power Plant flourishes in a temperate climate, with an optimal range of 70 to 85 ℉ (21 to 29 ā„ƒ) for vigorous growth and high yields. It handles both indoor and outdoor conditions well, but truly thrives outdoors where it can soak up ample sunlight. Well-draining soil with balanced nutrients is essential to support its robust nature and avoid root issues.

In the United States, the best states for Power Plant include California, Oregon, Colorado, Florida and Texas, with ideal temperatures and plenty of sunlight. Arizona and Nevada also offer favorable conditions thanks to their warm desert climate. The right climate significantly enhances the genetic potential of Power Plant feminized seeds, for a bountiful harvest and superior-quality buds.

What does the strain smell like?

The buds of Power Plant are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it leans earthy, with a sweet finish over the smoke.

Power Plant makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy experience with a good dose of energy. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its earthy, sweet character.

Experiencing the strain

With a Medium THC of 13% to 21%, Power Plant brings a happy, clear-headed state of mind with focus and a good dose of energy. It is an uplifting, energizing strain that can leave anyone feeling cheerful and motivated.

It is a great daytime choice. A mostly sativa plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches, it grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

Power Plant Strain terpenes

Power Plant carries a focused three-terpene profile that shapes both its earthy, sweet aroma and its energetic, uplifting sativa high.

Alpha-Pinene leads with a crisp, fresh pine note that gives the strain its clean, earthy edge. It is widely associated with alertness and clear-headed focus, the terpene most behind the bright, awake quality that makes Power Plant a daytime strain and supports its use against fatigue.

Valencene lifts the top of the aroma with a sweet, fresh citrus note that drives the sweet side of the flavor. It is widely linked to an uplifting, mood-brightening quality, reinforcing the energetic lift and complementing the relief many seek for fatigue and low energy.

Linalool rounds out the profile with a soft, floral sweetness that balances the pine and citrus. It is widely associated with a calming, stress-easing quality that keeps the energetic high smooth rather than racy, and it sits behind the strain’s use for stress and muscle spasms.
