Lineage Pineapple Autoflower
Pineapple Autoflower is a mostly indica autoflowering hybrid, 55% Indica / 45% Sativa, born from crossing Pineapple Express with a ruderalis parent. It carries an earthy, fruity flavor over a strong, relaxing body high.
With a THC of 12% to 15%, it is a great choice for anyone after a smooth, relaxing experience.
Origin
Pineapple Autoflower, originating in the USA, is a fascinating example of hybrid genetics. It comes from crossing Pineapple Express with ruderalis to create an automatic variety, and through its Pineapple Express parent it inherits the Trainwreck and Hawaiian lineage, with deeper influences from Mexican haze, Thai and Afghani strains.
That genetic background gives Pineapple Autoflower robust growth and a distinctive flavor profile. Growers benefit from a well-rounded plant with reliable automatic flowering.
Pineapple Autoflower Sativa or Indica?
Pineapple Autoflower is rooted in predominantly indica genetics, 55% Indica / 45% Sativa, and leans toward relaxation and calm. That indica dominance shows not only in its genetics but in the deep physical ease it brings users.
A subtle sativa influence adds a touch of cerebral uplift for a well-balanced experience, letting Pineapple Autoflower offer the best of both sides, a versatile choice for a range of users.
Pineapple Autoflower Effects
Pineapple Autoflower combines the best of both sides. With its indica-leaning genetics, users can expect an aroused, energetic yet relaxed effect, the calm grounded by a subtle sativa influence that adds a hint of euphoria and creative uplift. Many also turn to it for support with arthritis, pain and restless nights.
The effect unfolds in a harmonious balance, an ideal choice for anyone after a well-rounded experience that bridges indica and sativa. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Pineapple Autoflower Seeds
It is important to germinate your Pineapple AutoflowerĀ seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Autoflower cannabis seeds, from Blimburn Seeds we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing our Pineapple Autoflower seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. The PH of our hands full of bacteria can easily infect them and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Pineapple Autoflower Flowering Time
Pineapple Autoflower has an impressive flowering time, with a speedy transition from seed to harvest typically running 8 to 10 weeks. That short cycle, a testament to its well-crafted genetics, makes for a rewarding grow.
Its mostly indica traits give robust, resinous buds, a favorite among growers aiming for both quality and quantity, where a brief flowering period leads to an abundant harvest of top-tier cannabis.
How to Grow Pineapple Autoflower?
Pineapple Autoflower seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are robust and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
As an autoflowering strain, it switches to flowering on its own, without a change in the light schedule, so it is forgiving for newer growers. It will grow under as few as 12 hours of light, but we recommend an 18/6 or 20/4 cycle for the best High yields. See our full grow guide for more detail. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages, and indoors set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter. Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a first harvest in mid-summer and a second between July and mid-October, at about 28.22 oz per plant (800 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.47 to 1.8 oz/ft² (450 to 550 g/m²).
Ideal Climate for Growing
Pineapple Autoflower flourishes in a warm, temperate climate, which makes it well suited to outdoor cultivation. The optimal temperature range is 70 to 85 ā (21 to 29 ā), promoting healthy growth and vibrant yields. It prefers ample sunlight and steady weather, with annual rainfall of 15 to 30 inches (380 to 760 mm) and well-draining soil to avoid problems from excess moisture.
In the United States, California, Arizona, Florida and Texas stand out for their warm temperatures and sunny days, while Nevada, Oregon, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee also offer ideal conditions. Planted in these climates, Pineapple Autoflower seeds reward growers with a successful, fruitful harvest.
What does the Strain Smell Like?
The buds of Pineapple Autoflower are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends an earthy base with the sweet, tropical pineapple fruitiness inherited from its Pineapple Express lineage.
Pineapple Autoflower makes for a smooth, soft smoke behind a strong, relaxing effect. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its fruity, earthy profile.
Experiencing the Strain
With a THC of 12% to 15%, Pineapple Autoflower brings a happy, relaxed and settled state that eases both mind and body, leaving most users cheerful and content.
It is a fine choice for the evening after a long day. A mostly indica plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches, it grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.
As an autoflowering strain, Pineapple Autoflower runs about 8 to 10 weeks from germination to harvest. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.
Pineapple Autoflower Terpenes
Pineapple Autoflower has a short, focused terpene profile of two terpenes that shape its earthy aroma and its relaxed, soothing effect.
Myrcene is the dominant terpene and the foundation of the strainās character, an earthy, musky note that is the one most tied to body relaxation, sleep and a higher pain threshold. It drives the heavy, settling calm behind Pineapple Autoflowerās use for insomnia, muscle tension and everyday aches, loosening tight muscles around stiff joints.
Linalool adds a soft, floral note and a well-known calming influence that quiets the nervous system and a racing mind. Working alongside Myrcene, it deepens the physical relaxation and eases the bodyās stress response, rounding out the strainās soothing, restful finish.
The sweet, tropical pineapple note of the flavor comes mainly from its Pineapple Express lineage rather than from these two terpenes.

How To Grow Pineapple Autoflower
Read NowExpect a vigorous, medium-to-tall autoflower with a classic OG structure. It is not a compact plant. It inherits the famous “OG stretch” from its lineage and will grow with a strong main cola and long, lanky side-branches. This open structure is great for air circulation and allows for excellent light penetration to the lower bud sites.
To unlock its full “monster auto” potential outdoors, you need to treat it like a photoperiod plant in a large home. The keys to achieving these monster auto yields are:
Use a very large final container (15+ gallons / 57+ liters) to allow for a massive root system.
Choose a location that receives maximum direct sunlight all day long.
Be prepared for a hungry plant. It will require a consistent and heavy feeding schedule, especially with bloom nutrients, to build its massive, dense colas.
Yes, it is an excellent choice for a beginner looking for a high-quality auto. While it can get a bit larger than other autos, its OG lineage makes it very robust and resilient. Its autoflowering nature removes the complexity of light cycle changes, and it reliably produces top-shelf, incredibly flavorful buds with basic care, making it a very rewarding grow.
