Origin
Orange Bud traces its roots back to the renowned Skunk family, a cornerstone of both American and European cannabis breeding. Germinating Orange Bud seeds
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique. Before removing ourĀ Orange BudĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Orange Bud Seeds Flowering Time
Orange Bud typically flowers within 8 to 9 weeks, a relatively quick-maturing sativa-leaning strain. During this period, the plant develops dense, resinous buds rich in skunky, earthy aromas. Despite its sativa lean, Orange Bud stays compact and easy to manage, suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation.
Growers appreciate the strain for its reliability and the quality of its yields. The short flowering time, combined with its potent effects and robust flavors, makes Orange Bud a valuable addition to any garden, delivering bountiful harvests with minimal effort.
How to grow Orange Bud strain?
Orange Bud seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are compact, robust and moderately easy to grow, we should always prevent any pests.
You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your Feminized Orange Bud buds.
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- Thanks to the experience of our customers with our Feminized Orange Bud seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%.
For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our Feminized seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world.
Remember that our cannabis plants also need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period.
When you grow outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine.
If you prefer to grow indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ā and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
Feminized plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest.
Outdoors, breeders in the northern hemisphere should sow their cannabis seeds in April for harvest in mid October. Healthy Feminized Orange Bud seeds produce about 17 oz/plant | 500 gr/plant of buds each.
Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 9 weeks and produce about 0.98 – 1.31 oz/ft² | 300 – 400 gr/m².
Ideal Climate for Growing
The Orange Bud strain flourishes in a temperate climate with plenty of sunlight and moderate humidity. The optimal temperature range is 70-80 ā (21-27 ā), which allows vigorous growth and abundant yields. Use well-draining soil to keep roots healthy and avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Aim for moderate humidity in the vegetative stage (around 55-60%), reducing it toward 40% during flowering and down to about 30% by harvest.
For U.S. growers, ideal states for Orange Bud include California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Florida, which offer the warm temperatures and ample sunlight the strain needs. Grown in these regions, Orange Bud can fully express its genetic potential, resulting in robust plants and exceptional quality.
What does the strain smell like?

Orange Bud terpenes
Orange Bud, a classic Skunk #1 selection, carries an earthy, herbal aroma with spicy, woody depth over a pungent skunky base. Its broad ten-terpene profile shapes both that scent and its calming, happy and relaxed effect.
Myrcene leads with a deep, earthy, musky sweetness. As the terpene most tied to relaxation, it drives the calming, mellow body feel behind the strain’s soothing effect and its use for muscle tension and stress.
Caryophyllene adds a warm, peppery, woody spice and is the only terpene known to bind the body’s CB2 receptors. Widely linked to easing tension, it reinforces the calm and supports the strain’s use for muscle spasms.
Linalool brings a soft floral, lavender-like layer widely associated with a calming, mood-settling feel, deepening the relaxation and lifting the mood.
Humulene grounds the blend with an earthy, woody, hoppy warmth, adding depth to the base and complementing the relaxed body effect.
A supporting cast of soothing Bisabolol, fresh Alpha-Pinene, fruity Farnesene, herbal Beta-Phellandrene, cooling Camphene and uplifting Terpinolene rounds out the aroma, giving Orange Bud an earthy, herbal, spicy-woody scent paired with a calming, happy and relaxed effect made for the end of the day.
