Lineage Mochalope strain
Mochalope is a sativa-leaning hybrid, 55% Sativa / 45% Indica, born from crossing Oregon Afghani, Chocolope and Afghan Kush. It carries an earthy, fruity flavor with chocolate undertones over a lively, mostly sativa high.
With a THC of 22% to 25%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy experience with a good dose of energy.
Mochalope Origin
Mochalope hails from the USA, with a rich, unique genetic lineage. Its roots trace back to an ancient Afghani clone, passed down through generations and first grown in Oregon in 1996. It combines Oregon Afghani, Chocolope and Afghan Kush into a robust, flavorful profile.
With a heritage that takes in Hindu Kush, Chocolate Thai, Haze and classic Afghani, Mochalope feminized seeds blend tradition and innovation. The strain is known for its distinct chocolate undertones, paired with the earthy, spicy notes of its rich ancestry.
Mochalope Sativa or Indica?
Mochalope leans sativa-dominant, 55% Sativa / 45% Indica, with the uplifting, energetic traits typical of its lineage. Its sativa influence comes from Haze and Chocolate Thai, which give it a vibrant growth pattern and stimulating effects.
Growers value its tall structure and light, airy buds, hallmarks of a sativa-leaning plant. That makes it ideal for daytime use, combining energizing effects with the nuanced flavors and aromas of its diverse genetics.
Mochalope Effects
Mochalope delivers an uplifting cerebral high, happy and talkative, perfect for creativity, focus or social time, balanced by a mild physical relaxation from its indica side.
Users enjoy its mood-boosting character, and many turn to it to shake off tiredness, ease stress and lift low motivation, along with muscle tension. That mix of mental clarity and gentle physical relief makes it versatile for recreational and therapeutic use alike. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Mochalope seeds
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing ourĀ MochalopeĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines.
Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Mochalope Seeds Flowering Time
Mochalope has a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks, relatively quick for a sativa-leaning variety, so growers can enjoy high yields without a long wait.
Growers appreciate its adaptability across environments. Indoors or outdoors, it produces tall plants with light, resin-rich buds, a rewarding choice for growers of all experience levels.
How to grow Mochalope strain?
Mochalope feminized seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are robust and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day. These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 17.64 to 35.27 oz per plant (500 to 1000 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.31 to 1.8 oz/ft² (400 to 550 g/m²).
Ideal Climate
Mochalope flourishes in a warm, temperate climate with long, sunny days and mild evenings. The ideal range is 70 to 80 ā (21 to 27 ā), which promotes vigorous growth and abundant yields. Well-draining soil and good airflow are essential to avoid humidity-related issues. The strain is resilient and adapts to various environments, though optimal conditions bring out its full genetic potential.
In the United States, the best states for it include California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Florida and Texas, providing the warmth and sunlight the strain needs. With attention to temperature and soil health, Mochalope rewards growers with successful harvests, a favorite among enthusiasts for its unique character.
What does the smell like?
The buds of Mochalope are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends an earthy base with sweet, fruity notes and the signature mocha-chocolate touch that gives the strain its name, inherited from its Chocolope side.
Mochalope makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy, energetic experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its earthy, chocolate-fruit profile.
Experiencing the strain
With a high THC of 22% to 25%, Mochalope brings a happy, talkative and relaxed state. This mostly sativa marijuana lifts the mood and keeps you sociable before easing the body, leaving you cheerful and at ease.
It works from a creative afternoon into an easy evening. A mostly sativa plant with a tall main stem that supports its satellite branches, it grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.
Mochalope seeds are a mostly sativa strain with a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.

Mochalope Strain terpenes
Mochalope carries a broad twelve-terpene profile that shapes both its earthy, chocolate-fruit aroma and its balanced, uplifting effect, with four terpenes doing most of the work.
Myrcene anchors the profile with a deep, earthy-musky note that drives the earthy side of the flavor. It is widely associated with relaxing, muscle-soothing effects, providing the gentle body counterweight to the sativa head and tying into the strainās use for muscle tension.
Caryophyllene brings a warm, peppery spice and is the one terpene that interacts with the bodyās CB2 receptors. Widely associated with calming, anti-inflammatory properties, it sits behind the strainās use for easing stress and muscle spasms, backed by Humulene.
Citral contributes a bright, lemony-citrus lift that accounts for much of the fruity freshness and is often tied to a clear-headed, uplifting mood, a natural fit for shaking off tiredness and low energy.
Humulene adds a dry, woody-hoppy depth that rounds out the earthy base and, alongside Caryophyllene, reinforces the soothing, anti-inflammatory side for stress and physical tension.
Rounding out this large profile, Alpha-Cedrene and Cadinene add cedar-wood, Eugenol a clove-like spice, Borneol and Camphene a cool camphor note, Fenchol an earthy-pine edge, Alpha-Pinene a fresh pine lift, and Farnesene a soft green sweetness, while the signature mocha-chocolate note comes largely from the Chocolope side of the family.
