Lineage Maple Leaf Seeds

Maple Leaf is a mostly indica strain, 80% Indica / 20% Sativa, born from crossing Mazar and Afghan Kush. It carries an incense, kush, sweet and woody flavor over a strong indica body high.

With a THC of 14% to 18%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy, deeply relaxing experience.

Origin

Maple Leaf boasts an exceptional lineage, originating from the renowned seed banks of Amsterdam’s Red Light District. A cross between Mazar and Afghan Kush, it captures the best traits of its parents into a unique, sought-after genetic profile. These feminized seeds reflect real breeding expertise, offering growers a premium experience steeped in history and tradition.

Its deep Afghan roots give it the classic hashy, resinous character of a pure indica, along with a short flowering window that makes it an ideal choice for growers after high-quality results in a shorter time frame. Maple Leaf has earned its reputation for reliability and robust performance.

Maple Leaf Strain Sativa or Indica?

Maple Leaf is a clearly indica-dominant strain, 80% Indica / 20% Sativa, and its effects reflect that heritage: deep physical relaxation and a calm, settled mind. This strong indica character appeals to a wide range of cannabis enthusiasts looking to unwind.

Growers and users appreciate Maple Leaf indica seeds for that soothing body calm, lifted by a gentle, happy touch from the small sativa side. It is best suited to an evening wind-down, delivering the reliable, relaxing experience Afghan genetics are known for.

Maple Leaf Strain Effects

Maple Leaf provides a well-rounded experience led by its indica side: a gentle, happy onset that lifts the mood, followed by a soothing body calm that melts away stress and tension. It is a classic relax-and-unwind strain rather than an energizing one.

Those relaxing effects make it a favorite with recreational and medical users alike. Many reach for Maple Leaf for its calming, happy character and for support with everyday aches, muscle tension, stress and tiredness. Effects vary from person to person.

Germinating Maple Leaf seeds

It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.

Before removing ourĀ Maple Leaf indica seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.

Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF – 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC – 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.

Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.

Maple Leaf Seeds Flowering Time

Maple Leaf indica seeds are known for their efficiency, with a flowering period of just 8 to 10 weeks. That short window, inherited from its robust Afghan genetics, makes it a top choice for growers looking to optimize yield without compromising quality.

The quick flowering time, paired with the strain’s consistent performance, makes for a rewarding grow. Its vigorous growth and dense buds are a testament to the careful breeding that originated in Amsterdam’s legendary seed banks.

How to grow Maple Leaf strain?

Maple Leaf indica seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are compact, robust and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:

  • Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
  • In our customers’ experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.

For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.

Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.

Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 19.4 oz per plant (550 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.31 to 1.64 oz/ft² (400 to 500 g/m²).

Ideal Climate for Growing

Maple Leaf thrives in a warm, sunny environment, best suited to a temperate climate. The ideal range for cultivation is 70 to 80 ℉ (21 to 27 ā„ƒ), optimal conditions for robust growth and high yields. Sunlight is crucial, as the strain thrives with at least 6 to 8 hours of direct light daily, and good ventilation with well-draining soil helps prevent excess moisture and keeps the plants healthy.

In the United States, several states offer the perfect climate for cultivating Maple Leaf. Top choices include California, with its warm coastal regions; Oregon, known for its fertile valleys; Washington, with a temperate maritime climate; and Arizona, with its dry heat. Other favorable states include Nevada, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. With the right location and consistent temperatures, growers can enjoy the full benefits of this strain and bring out its unique character and potency.

What does the strain smell like?

The buds of Maple Leaf are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends incense and kush with a sweet, woody depth, the hashy Afghan character of Mazar and Afghan Kush coming through clearly.

It makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy, deeply relaxed experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its woody, incense-like profile.

Experiencing the strain

With a Medium THC of 14% to 18%, Maple Leaf brings a state of happiness, calm and relaxation. This mostly indica marijuana soothes the body and settles the mind, and many also turn to it for support with everyday aches. It can make anyone feel cheerful and at ease.

It is best enjoyed in the evening to unwind after a long day. A mostly indica plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches, it grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

Maple Leaf seeds are a mostly indica strain with a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.

Maple Leaf terpenes

Maple Leaf carries a broad twelve-terpene profile, rich and resinous like its Afghan parents, with four terpenes doing most of the work behind its aroma and its deeply relaxing effect.

Myrcene leads the profile with a deep, earthy-musky note that anchors the hashy kush character. It is the terpene most associated with relaxing, muscle-soothing effects, and here it drives the heavy indica body feel that ties directly into the strain’s use for muscle spasms and evening wind-down.

Caryophyllene brings a warm, peppery spice and is the one terpene that interacts with the body’s CB2 receptors. Widely associated with calming, anti-inflammatory properties, it sits behind the strain’s reputation for easing physical tension and stress.

Humulene adds a dry, woody-hoppy note that feeds straight into the woody side of the flavor. Often linked to soothing, anti-inflammatory qualities, it works alongside Caryophyllene to deepen the body relaxation and round out the earthy aroma.

Alpha-Cedrene contributes a soft cedar-wood aroma that shapes the strain’s distinctive incense and woody character. It is the terpene most responsible for that temple-incense note, grounding and calming, and a signature of this Afghan-heavy profile.

Rounding out the profile, Eugenol and Borneol add clove-like and camphor-woody spice, Alpha-Pinene, Camphene and Fenchol a fresh pine-earthy lift, Citral a faint citrus edge, and Cadinene and Farnesene a final herbal, lightly floral touch, while the sweet note comes largely from the Mazar side of the family.
