Lineage Jilly Bean Regular strain
Jilly Bean Regular is a mostly sativa hybrid, 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, born from crossing Orange Velvet with Space Queen. It carries a herbal, mango and pine flavor over a lively, mostly sativa high.
Regular seeds cannot be classified as feminized seeds. They are the original seeds from nature, containing two sexes, like humans: male and female. With a THC of 21% to 23%, it is a great choice for anyone after a happy experience with a good dose of energy.
Origin
Jilly Bean Regular originates from American genetics, a cross of two well-known American strains, Orange Velvet and Space Queen. The result is a flavorful hybrid that combines the best of both parents into a balanced, fruity profile, popular across North America and Europe.
This regular strain thrives in diverse environments, and its popularity keeps spreading worldwide thanks to its adaptable nature and unique terpene profile.
Jilly Bean Regular Sativa or Indica?
Jilly Bean Regular is predominantly a sativa-dominant hybrid, around 60% Sativa / 40% Indica, with an uplifting, energetic experience. Despite that sativa dominance, its indica side keeps a measure of relaxation, though its effects are generally best suited to daytime use.
The combination of Orange Velvet and Space Queen makes a strain that offers the best of both worlds: energizing yet balanced, ideal for anyone seeking motivation and creativity.
Jilly Bean Regular Effects
Jilly Bean Regular delivers happy, relaxed and talkative effects. Users often report euphoria and creativity, a go-to strain for social situations or artistic pursuits, lifting the mood without overwhelming intensity. Many also turn to it to ease low mood, tiredness and everyday aches.
Alongside those uplifting effects, it brings a subtle relaxation that balances the high and prevents overstimulation. It is well-suited to a clear-headed, happy experience during the day. Effects vary from person to person.
Germinating Jilly Bean Regular seeds
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Regular cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique. Before removing our Jilly Bean RegularĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF ā 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC ā 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Jilly Bean Regular Seeds Flowering Time
The flowering time for Jilly Bean Regular is around 8 to 10 weeks, depending on conditions, and it tends to produce generous yields of resin-coated buds. Outdoor growers can expect to harvest by mid-October.
Thanks to that relatively short flowering period, it is favored by cultivators looking for a fast turnaround. The plants grow to a manageable size, suiting both indoor and outdoor setups.
How to Grow Jilly Bean Regular Seeds
Jilly Bean Regular seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are moderately easy to grow and hardy, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customersā experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ā, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day. These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 35.27 oz per plant (1000 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.47 oz/ft² (450 g/m²).
Ideal Climate for Growing
Jilly Bean Regular thrives in a warm, temperate climate with long, sunny days and occasional rainfall. The ideal range is 70 to 82 ā (21 to 28 ā), which promotes vigorous growth and resin production. Aim for low humidity to prevent mold, and use well-draining soil rich in organic matter to support optimal development.
In the United States, ideal climates are found in California, Colorado, Oregon, Nevada and Florida, with the warm temperatures and favorable conditions that maximize yield and potency. With the right care, Jilly Bean seeds flourish in these environments for a high-quality harvest, so keep an eye on temperature swings and humidity to create the perfect microclimate.
What does the strain smell like?
The buds of Jilly Bean Regular are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends herbal and pine notes with a juicy mango sweetness: sweet orange and orange-candy (Skittles) up front, with a tart mango undertone from its Orange Velvet side.
Jilly Bean Regular makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a happy, flavorful experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its mango-orange, herbal profile.

Jilly Bean Regular terpenes
Jilly Bean Regular carries a seven-terpene profile that shapes both its mango-citrus, piney aroma and its happy, energetic effect, with four terpenes doing most of the work.
Limonene leads the profile with a bright, sweet-orange citrus note that drives the fruity flavor and is widely linked to an uplifted, positive mood. It anchors the happy, sociable lift and ties into the strainās use for low mood and tiredness.
Myrcene adds a ripe, fruity-earthy note that carries much of the strainās signature mango character. Often tied to relaxing effects, it provides the gentle body balance beneath the cerebral lift.
Caryophyllene brings a warm, peppery spice and is the one terpene that interacts with the bodyās CB2 receptors. Widely associated with calming, anti-inflammatory properties, it sits behind the strainās use for joint discomfort and arthritis.
Alpha-Pinene contributes a crisp pine sharpness that drives the piney side of the flavor and is linked to alertness and clear thinking, a natural fit for the energetic, daytime character and for shaking off tiredness.
Rounding out the profile, Beta-Pinene echoes the fresh pine edge, Humulene adds a herbal, woody depth that supports the anti-inflammatory side, and Linalool a soft floral calm that balances the uplift, while the juicy orange-mango sweetness owes much to the Orange Velvet side of the family.

How To Grow Jilly Bean Regular
Read NowRegular seeds are for growers who want the complete, authentic genetic experience, including the possibility of breeding their own new strains. Unlike feminized seeds, a pack of regular seeds will produce both male and female plants. This allows advanced cultivators to select a prized male for its structure and resilience and use its pollen to create unique crosses with their favorite female plants.
Expect a classic, Sativa-dominant structure. This is a medium-to-tall plant that will stretch significantly once flowering begins, a trait inherited from its vigorous parents. It grows with a strong, open framework and long, elegant branches that are perfect for training and allow for excellent airflow, which helps prevent mold.
To unlock its full “monster” potential outdoors, you need to treat it like a true cannabis tree. The keys to achieving these massive yields are:
A very long vegetative period (plant early in the season).
Use a very large container (20+ gallons / 75+ liters) or plant directly in high-quality amended soil.
Top the plant aggressively and use training (like a ScrOG or trellis) to create a wide, sprawling bush.
Provide very strong support with a large trellis or multiple stakes to hold the weight of its many long and heavy colas.
It’s easy to tell them apart once they start to show their pre-flowers (usually around week 4-6 of veg). Female plants will develop small, teardrop-shaped bracts with two white pistils (hairs) emerging from them at the nodes. Male plants, on the other hand, will develop small, round pollen sacs that look like tiny bunches of grapes. It’s crucial to remove the males from your grow space as soon as you identify them to prevent pollination.
