Feminized F1 Cannabis strains are strains that have been created by crossing two pure varieties of cannabis. They are often referred to as “first generation hybrids” because they are the first in a long line of crosses that can be used to produce an array of different genetic varieties.
This weed can often produce a variety of different effects, flavors, and aromas. They are typically more stable and uniform than their F2 and F3 counterparts, making them a popular choice for growers.
Mimosa F1 Origin
Mimosa F1 strain originates from a combination of top tier American and European genetics. This hybrid is a result of expert breeding, merging the best traits of elite parent strains to create a balanced and vigorous variety. Known for its high resin production and complex terpene profile, Mimosa F1 has quickly gained popularity among growers and consumers alike.
Its genetic lineage includes renowned strains that contribute to its unique effects and flavors. Mimosa F1 feminized seeds are designed for stability and performance, ensuring high-quality plants with reliable growth patterns. This makes them a top choice for both commercial and home cultivation.
Mimosa F1 Sativa or Indica?
Mimosa F1 is a well balanced hybrid, featuring a 45% Indica and 55% Sativa composition. This genetic ratio provides a perfect blend of cerebral stimulation and physical relaxation, making it ideal for daytime use. The slight Sativa dominance enhances focus and creativity, while the Indica genetics contribute to a smooth and calming finish.
Growers appreciate this balance as it allows for a manageable plant structure with moderate stretching. Whether cultivated indoors or outdoors, Mimosa F1 feminized seeds develop into robust plants with strong lateral branches, supporting its dense and resinous buds. This hybrid thrives in various environments, offering both potency and rich flavors.
Mimosa F1 Effects
The effects of Mimosa F1 strain are predominantly uplifting, thanks to its slight Sativa dominance. Users report an initial wave of euphoria and mental clarity, making it a great choice for social settings or creative tasks. As the high progresses, the Indica side introduces a gentle relaxation without sedation, allowing for functional and enjoyable experiences.
Mimosa F1’s terpene profile enhances its energizing effects, featuring citrus and tropical fruit notes. These aromatic compounds not only provide a delicious flavor but also contribute to its mood-boosting properties. Ideal for both recreational and therapeutic users, this strain is known for promoting positivity and mental stimulation.
Germinating Mimosa F1
It is important to germinate your Mimosa F1 cannabis seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized F1 cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing our Mimosa F1 cannabis seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Mimosa F1 Flowering Time
Mimosa F1 feminized seeds have a flowering time of approximately 8 to 9 weeks, making them a relatively fast growing hybrid. This efficiency is appealing to both novice and experienced cultivators, as it allows for multiple harvests per year in controlled environments. Under optimal conditions, growers can expect high yields of dense, trichome covered buds.
Indoor setups with stable temperature and humidity levels maximize resin production, while outdoor cultivation benefits from warm climates. Mimosa F1 strain responds well to various training techniques, ensuring even canopy development. With proper care, this hybrid rewards growers with potent and aromatic flowers, rich in cannabinoids and terpenes.
How to Grow Mimosa F1?
Mimosa F1 seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are moderately easy to grow and hardy, we should always prevent any pests.
You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your Feminized Mimosa F1 buds.
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- Thanks to the experience of our customers with our Mimosa F1 seeds, we know that we can increase yields up to 20%.
For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform plane and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our Feminized F1 seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world.
Remember that our cannabis plants also need good nutrients when our Feminized F1 seeds are seedlings, in their vegetative period, and in their flowering period.
When you grow cannabis seeds outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where our cannabis plants can receive the most hours of sunshine. If you would like to grow your Feminized F1 seeds indoors, be sure to have good tents, textile pots for growing, LED lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air, and of course a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68℉-80℉ and nighttime temperatures between 7℉-9℉ cooler.
Feminized F1 plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) levels at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase. Reduce RH to around 40% during the flowering phase. By harvest time, you can reduce RH to 30%.
Outdoors, breeders in the northern hemisphere should sow their cannabis seeds in April for harvest in September. Healthy Feminized Mimosa F1 plants produce about 17 – 21 oz/plant | 500 – 600 g/plant of buds each.
Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 9 weeks and produce about 1.31 – 1.64 oz/ft2 | 400 – 500 gr/m2.
Ideal Climate for Cultivating
The Mimosa F1 strain boasts a robustness that allows it to thrive in a range of climates. However, this cannabis variant particularly favors a warm Mediterranean climate for optimum growth. The sweet spot for the temperature stands at 70-85°F (21-29°C) offering the seed the perfect environment for producing a rich yield. It is versatile when it comes to altitude, making it suitable for both lowland and mountainous geographical conditions. Importantly, it thrives best in highly sunlight areas, illustrating its strong bond with the sun.
In the U.S., the states that offer this ideal climate for cultivating Mimosa F1 include California, Nevada, Arizona, and Florida. The high sunlight quotient of these states combined with the mild winters make it a suitable environment for cultivation. Other states such as Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee are also well suited for growing Mimosa F1 due to their warm climates. Essentially, the Mimosa F1 seeds from Blimburn Seeds prefer consistent sunlight and a well drained soil conditions for an enhanced yield. With a regulated temperature within the ideal range and in the suitable environment, Mimosa F1 seeds can flourish into a mature, high yielding plant.
What does the Strain Smell Like?
The buds of Mimosa F1 are rock hard, soaked in resin and carry a crystalline sheen from the heavy coat of trichomes.
The taste can be described as the perfect blend of sweet, fruity, melon, banana, and orange flavors; its aroma profile of orange champagne and tart citrus, with floral and berry undertones.
Mimosa F1 makes a smooth, soft smoke with a happy, relaxed experience and a good dose of energy. Thanks to its high resin production, it is a good choice for high-quality extracts and concentrates. A good terpene profile lifts the flavor of the buds. Terpenes are volatile organic compounds produced in the cannabis plant that shape the aroma and flavor of the buds.
These terpenes lift the flavor of the buds, adding a fresh, citrusy touch to their sweeter notes. They also shape the effect: some terpenes have sedative properties, while others act as stimulants. For this reason, it helps to know the terpenes found in a given cannabis strain before smoking it, to get the most out of the flavors and effects they produce.
Experiencing the Strain
Mimosa F1 is a Medium-THC strain of 15% – 20% that brings a state of happiness. This mostly Sativa marijuana is a great strain to ease pain, and it will also take you to a state of happiness. It can make anyone feel cheerful and happy.
It is a marijuana plant with a mostly sativa structure. A large stem that supports its satellite branches and that we can grow both indoors and outdoors, obtaining a similar production but with a higher yield when it is fed with all the hours of sunshine outdoors.
Our Mimosa F1 seeds are a mostly Sativa strain with a flowering period of 8 – 9 weeks. Remember that in each period of cultivation of our marijuana plant it is important to provide it with the corresponding nutrients to obtain resinous buds and trichomes.
Cannabis Terpenes Mimosa F1
Mimosa F1 owes much of its sweet, orange-and-tropical-fruit aroma and its happy, uplifting character to three key terpenes, each adding a distinct scent and its own well-known wellness properties.
Myrcene lays down a ripe, fruity base, the melon-and-banana note behind the strain’s sweetness and its gentle body ease. Widely tied to calming effects, it softens the sativa lift.
Linalool adds a soft, sweet-floral layer that lifts the champagne-like top of the aroma. Long studied for its calming, stress-soothing properties, it rounds out the smooth finish.
Beta-Phellandrene brings a fresh, minty-citrus, slightly peppery note that adds brightness and complexity to the aroma.

How To Grow Mimosa F1
Read NowExpect a tall, lanky, and vigorous Sativa-dominant structure. Mimosa is not a compact plant. It will stretch significantly, often doubling or tripling in size during the flowering stage. It develops long, elegant branches with a beautiful open framework, which is excellent for airflow and preventing mold, a key trait for producing high-quality Sativa.
“F1” stands for “Filial 1,” which means this is the direct, first-generation cross. In this case, it’s a backcross of Mimosa with its Purple Punch parent. This is done to intensify the desirable traits of the Purple Punch, such as its incredible resin production, dense bud structure, and sweet berry undertones, while still maintaining the dominant citrus aroma and energetic high of the Mimosa.
It can be challenging for a first-time grower. Its aggressive stretch requires proactive training and space management, and it can be a heavy feeder that is sensitive to nutrient fluctuations. We typically recommend Mimosa F1 for intermediate to experienced growers who are prepared to manage a large, vigorous Sativa plant.
Taming its Sativa vigor is the key to a successful indoor harvest. We highly recommend topping the plant multiple times during the vegetative stage to break its strong apical dominance and create a wider, more manageable canopy. Its long and flexible branches make it an absolutely perfect candidate for a ScrOG (Screen of Green) setup, which will allow you to control the stretch and create a massive, flat plane of huge, orange-scented colas.
