Lineage OG Kush Auto Strain

OG Kush Auto is born from the cross of OG Kush and a ruderalis parent, giving a balanced autoflowering hybrid of 50% Indica / 50% Sativa. It carries the classic citrus and diesel flavors of the OG line over an even, full-bodied high.

With a High THC of 17 to 24%, it is a great choice for anyone after a balanced experience that blends indica calm with a sociable sativa lift. Its earthy, resinous profile shares notes with Afghan auto, and its soothing, relaxing character echoes that of Red skunk kush auto.

Origin

OG Kush Auto comes from crossing California’s OG Kush with ruderalis genetics, a pairing developed in the United States to keep the classic OG Kush character while adding autoflowering behavior. The result is a resilient, resinous variety that performs across a range of growing conditions.

Though American in origin, Auto OG Kush seeds are now offered by both American and European seed banks. Its popularity has carried it into many regions and climates, yet its core genetics stay firmly rooted in that Californian heritage.

OG Kush Autoflower Sativa or Indica?

OG Kush Auto is a balanced hybrid, a 50% Indica / 50% Sativa split famous for its happy, relaxed and talkative character. The indica side brings calm and physical ease, while the sativa side keeps the head clear and sociable, so the experience settles the body without shutting down conversation. If you want a strain that relaxes and lifts the mood in equal measure, OG Kush Autoflower is an excellent choice.

OG Kush Autoflower Effects

OG Kush Auto reflects its balanced genetics. Users can expect a mellow body high that eases stress and brings relaxation, lifted by a happy, talkative mood that keeps the experience sociable rather than sedating. It is a favorite among those after a calm yet upbeat, therapeutic effect.

OG Kush Auto offers a well-rounded experience for enthusiasts who want the soothing side of indica alongside the brightness of its sativa half. Effects vary from person to person.

Germinating OG Kush Autoflower Seeds

To ensure a healthy harvest, it’s important to germinate your OG Kush Autoflower seeds carefully. While various methods exist, Blimburn Seeds recommends a simple and effective technique.

Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ĀŗF – 78.8 ĀŗF (21 ĀŗC – 26 ĀŗC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.

Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.

Flowering Time

OG Kush Autoflower has a relatively short cycle, an attractive trait for growers. On average it completes its full life cycle in about 8 to 10 weeks from germination.

That short duration, combined with its compact autoflowering structure, makes for a manageable and efficient grow. Growers using Auto OG Kush seeds can expect a rewarding harvest without the long waits tied to some photoperiod strains.

How to Grow OG Kush Autoflower?

OG Kush Autoflower seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are compact, robust and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:

  • Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
  • In our customers’ experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.

As an autoflowering strain, OG Kush Auto moves from vegetative to flowering on its own, without a change in the light schedule, so it is forgiving for newer growers. It will grow under as few as 12 hours of light, but we recommend an 18/6 or 20/4 cycle for the best yields. Feed proper nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, pick a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.

Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. OG Kush Autoflower prefers low humidity: keep relative humidity at 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.

Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a first harvest in mid-summer and a second between July and mid-October, at about 2.12 to 3.53 oz per plant (60 to 100 g). Indoors, the life cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 0.82 to 1.31 oz/ft² (250 to 400 g/m²).

Ideal Climate for Cultivating

OG Kush Auto is suited to warmer climates and prefers a tropical or subtropical setting for optimal growth. It performs best at temperatures between 70 and 90 ℉ (21 to 32 ā„ƒ), which encourage vigorous growth and flowering. Keep the temperature steady within that range and avoid sharp swings to protect the plant’s health and yield.

In the United States, the most suitable states for OG Kush Auto include California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, Louisiana and Georgia, all of which offer the steady warmth and sunlight it needs. The strain adapts to both indoor and outdoor setups, but these climate conditions will give the best results and bring out its full genetic potential.

What does the OG Kush Autoflower Smell Like?

The buds of OG Kush Autoflower are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it is a blend of citrus and diesel, and the aroma is pungent, pairing earthy pine with spicy citrus and a subtle fuel-like note.

OG Kush Auto makes for a smooth, soft smoke that delivers a balanced indica-sativa experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its citrus-and-diesel profile.

Experiencing the Strain

With a High THC of 17 to 24%, OG Kush Autoflower brings a state of happiness, focus and relaxation. It lifts the mood and loosens the body while keeping the head clear and sociable, leaving most users cheerful and at ease.

A balanced hybrid plant, it grows on a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches, and performs well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

As an autoflowering strain, OG Kush Autoflower runs about 8 to 10 weeks from germination to harvest. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage of the cycle helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.

OG Kush Autoflower Terpenes

OG Kush Auto carries a deep, complex terpene profile, but four terpenes shape its citrus-and-diesel flavor and its happy, relaxed and talkative effect.

Myrcene forms the earthy, musky base of the strain and is the terpene most tied to body relaxation and restful sleep. It drives the physical ease that makes OG Kush Auto a go-to for insomnia and muscle spasms, mellowing the body without erasing the clarity of the high.

Limonene brings the bright citrus note at the front of the flavor and is widely associated with an uplifted, positive mood. It is the terpene behind the strain’s happy, sociable side and its reputation for easing low spirits and day-to-day stress.

Caryophyllene supplies the spicy, peppery, diesel-like edge that defines the OG character. As the terpene known for calming physical tension and inflammation, it reinforces the relief OG Kush Auto offers for muscle spasms and bodily stress.

Linalool adds a soft, floral, faintly lavender note that rounds out the profile with calm. It works alongside Myrcene to settle the nerves and support rest, balancing the citrus lift so the experience stays relaxed rather than racy.

Rounding out the profile, lighter touches of Alpha-Pinene, Terpinolene, Ocimene, Citral and Limonene’s citrus relatives add freshness and pine, while Humulene, Nerolidol, Phytol, Borneol, Eugenol, Terpineol, Farnesene, Camphene, Fenchol, Cadinene and Alpha-Cedrene fill in the earthy, woody and herbal depth that makes OG Kush Auto so distinctive.

How To Grow OG Kush Auto

Read Now

Yes, OG Kush Auto is an excellent choice for beginners. Its autoflowering genetics mean that it will automatically transition from the vegetative stage to flowering regardless of light cycles, which simplifies the growing process. The plant is also incredibly hardy and resilient, making it forgiving of common cultivation mistakes. With a short seed-to-harvest time of just 8-10 weeks, it offers a fast and reliable yield, helping new growers build confidence.

To maximize your yield with OG Kush Auto, we recommend a few simple techniques. Using a quality substrate like perlite, peat, or coco coir will ensure proper moisture retention. For indoor growers, the Screen of Green (ScrOG) method is a great way to optimize light exposure and increase the size of the lower flowers, helping you achieve a uniform canopy and higher yields. Outdoors, ensure your plant gets as much direct sunlight as possible for a bountiful harvest.

Humidity control is critical for cultivating OG Kush Auto. Because it produces dense, resin-soaked buds, it is highly susceptible to mold and mildew if the humidity is too high. You should keep Relative Humidity (RH) levels at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase and reduce it to around 40% during the flowering phase. In the final weeks before harvest, you can lower the RH to 30% to help ripen the buds and protect them from fungal issues.
