I gave her the old tie down, chop, and top again today. I tied down all the new growth that was not growing in line with the other LST that I had done and topped every branch that had reached the amount of nodes I need to reach my goal. I noticed that the pH had been changing quickly becoming acidic so I re- pHed my water. I think the major pH swings are due to my reservoir water being high due to me not having a chiller.

I did another heavy defoliation to allow light to reach all of the nodes and tied down all of the major branches except the top four. I also topped the set of branches that are second from the top. There was still a large amount of solution left in my reservoir but I changed it because it's been a week and the pH had changed drastically from 5.8 to 4.1 probably because of roots that had broken off into the water and were decaying causing non beneficial bacteria to form.

All of the nodes are coming in beautifully. I'm aiming for 480 branches so I plan to top the four highest branches after they have 2 to 3 nodes.

I topped all of her main branches, including the apical meristem of course; 8 branches in all. I also did some heavy defoliation so the nodes could get light and start to branch more, as well as LST laying her lowest four branches horizontal.

I moved her to my hydroponic system and buried a good amount of her stem in pebbles for added stability. I immediately realized she has trouble with efficient water up take. She doesn't like to have her root ball flooded and shows signs of over watering every time I do, even with plenty of DO in the reservoir. So I put my water directly in the reservoir now and don't pour water over the pebbles unless I'm watering with beneficial bacteria and enzymes.
