Looking Back: Blimburn Seeds at the Women Grow Leadership Summit 2025
Last year, the cannabis community gathered at the National Harbor for a momentous occasion: the Women Grow Leadership Summit 2025. For Blimburn Seeds, it wasn’t just another event; it was an opportunity to celebrate historic progress in cannabis reform and support the growing community of cultivators in Maryland.
Celebrating Progress and Social Impact
The summit served as a backdrop to honor Governor Wes Moore, who received the 2025 Social Impact Award for his groundbreaking decision to issue 175,000 pardons for cannabis possession. We also celebrated the appointment of Tabatha Robinson as the leader of the Maryland Cannabis Administration, marking a new era of equity and inclusion in the state’s $1 billion market.
Empowering 1,000 Growers
To commemorate these milestones and the legalization of home cultivation in Maryland, Blimburn Seeds proudly executed a special giveaway of 1,000 seed packages during the summit.
Our goal was simple: to put high-quality genetics directly into the hands of those ready to exercise their new rights. By empowering attendees to start their own gardens, we aimed to foster a more sustainable and personal connection with the plant, reflecting the very essence of the “One Plant” philosophy.
A Legacy of Support
Reflecting on the event, it’s clear that Maryland has set a powerful example for the rest of the country. At Blimburn, we remain committed to supporting these pockets of progress across the U.S., ensuring that as laws change, growers have the best possible start with world-class seeds.
It was an honor to stand alongside the leaders of Women Grow and contribute to an event that prioritized education, entrepreneurship, and social justice.
