Lineage Ultra Violet OG
Ultra Violet OG, from the cross between Purple Indica and Face Off OG, is a mostly Indica strain (80% Indica / 20% Sativa). It tends to show an earthy, herbal and sweet flavor with a strong, mostly Indica body high.
It also carries a Medium THC of 16% – 20%, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a strong, relaxing experience.
Origin
Ultra Violet OG is a unique U.S.-born strain derived from two iconic parents: Face Off OG and Purple Indica. This powerful hybrid pays homage to its OG Kush heritage, carrying forward the best traits from both sides of its genetic pool.
Known for deep purple hues and dense, resin-rich buds, Ultra Violet OG has a strong genetic profile revered by cultivators and consumers alike.
It stands out not only for its heritage but also for its adaptability and potency, with a reliable, stable growth pattern and notable effects. Its robust lineage makes it a favorite among those who enjoy top-quality, distinctive varieties like Purple Haze and Purple Lemon.
Ultra Violet OG Strain Sativa or Indica?
Ultra Violet OG is an indica-dominant hybrid (80% Indica / 20% Sativa) with a classic, calming profile. It delivers full-body relaxation and a gentle cerebral uplift, bringing out the best indica characteristics while keeping a subtle sativa edge.
That blend makes it versatile and suitable for a range of experiences, though it is especially favored for evening and relaxation settings.
Despite its indica dominance, the touch of sativa keeps the high balanced rather than overly sedative, with a happy, sociable lift on top of the body calm.
Ultra Violet OG Effects
The effects of Ultra Violet OG deliver deep relaxation paired with a happy, talkative mood. Ideal for unwinding at the end of the day, it brings a soothing, all-encompassing calm that many people reach for to ease stress.
It is perfect for a mellow, end-of-day routine, and its potent genetics strike a nice balance between a clear, sociable head and full body relaxation. That makes it a popular choice for anyone who prefers indica-dominant strains but still wants a bit of mental lift.
Germinating Ultra Violet OG seeds
It is important to germinate your weed seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, at Blimburn Seeds, we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing ourĀ Ultra Violet OGĀ seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. Our hands are full of bacteria that can easily infect seeds and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station:Ā Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart.
Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring:Ā Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room-temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours.
Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 70-90ĀŗF in the germination area. Use purified room-temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.
Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not useĀ alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Ultra Violet OG Strain Flowering Time
Ultra Violet OG’s flowering time spans around 8 to 10 weeks, relatively swift for an indica-dominant hybrid. With the right care and conditions, it develops dense, aromatic buds prized for their potency and flavor.
Cultivators appreciate its manageable flowering period and dependable harvests. Given its indica genetics, Ultra Violet OG does well both indoors and outdoors, though it prefers warmer climates outdoors. With optimal conditions, growers can bring it to peak potency and resin production by the end of flowering.
How to grow Ultra Violet OG Strain?
Ultra Violet OG seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are compact, robust and moderately easy to grow, we should always prevent any pests.
You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your feminized Ultra Violet OG buds.
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- Thanks to the experience of our customers with our feminized Ultra Violet OG seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%.
For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers, which helps this strain reach the best possible yields. If you plan to grow our feminized seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world.
Remember that the plants need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period.
When growing outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If you prefer to grow indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ā and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ā cooler than the day.
Feminized plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest.
Outdoors, growers in the Northern Hemisphere should sow in April to harvest around October. Healthy Ultra Violet OG plants produce about 21.16 oz/plant | 600 gr/plant of buds each.
Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 10 weeks and produce about 0.66 – 0.98 oz/ft² | 200 – 300 gr/m².
Ideal Climate for Growing
Ultra Violet OG flourishes in a warm, semi-arid or temperate climate with dry summers and moderate winters. The ideal temperature range is 70-85 ā (21-29 ā), which promotes vigorous growth and rich flavor. It benefits from ample sunlight, ideally at least 6 to 8 hours of direct light a day, and well-draining soil to prevent root issues throughout the cycle.
For U.S. growers, the best states include California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Florida, which offer the warm, sunny conditions it needs. Texas, New Mexico and South Carolina can also provide favorable weather for this robust strain. With the right location and temperature management, Ultra Violet OG rewards growers with a healthy harvest of high-quality buds.
What does the strain smell like?
The buds of Ultra Violet OG are rock hard, soaked in resin and carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes, often with the deep purple hues the strain is named for.
Its taste and aroma are a blend of earthy and herbal notes with a sweet undertone. Ultra Violet OG makes a delicious, smooth smoke and delivers a strong, relaxing experience. Thanks to its large resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high quality extracts and concentrates.
