Mexico holds the First Latin American Symposium on Medicinal Cannabis for Health Professionals

The event will take place in the city of Guadalajara on June 2 and 3

 

The Ministry of Health of Jalisco (Mexico) organizes the First Latin American Symposium on Medicinal Cannabis for Health Professionals. The event will take place in the city of Guadalajara on June 2 and 3. Will be two days of conference given by researchers and specialists in cannabis for medical and therapeutic uses, with local speakers and others from countries such as the United States or Israel.

The objective of the symposium is to provide information and educate about the uses and benefits of the cannabis plant in a country, Mexico, where legalization for medical use just requires presidential ratification after its approval by the national parliament.

The technical meeting will show the latest advances in the sector in addition to cases of people who have benefited from marijuana use as a therapeutic alternative in problems such as chronic pain, palliative care, neurological problems, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma or epilepsy, among others.
